Came here for a birthday, a bit of history my parents went to the original restaurant located by the race track.
It was nice to see this new revival of the restaurant, the food is delicious and the service is top notch.
You have to try the enchiladas en mole, and the beef tongue is also a delicacy that you have to try.
La sábana de bisté is another dish that you have.
Overall highly recommended.

Friendly service! Great live music….trumpets, sax, singers, drums. People sang along. Atmosphere was very nice, with the rooftop balcony open to see the beautiful lit up Museum and outside!

If you’re looking for a serious meal in Mexico City, you’ve got to check out Caballo Bayo.
Let’s just get this out of the way: yes, it’s definitely on the pricier side, so be prepared for that. But honestly, the food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish I had was just perfectly executed and delicious – they really know what they’re doing in the kitchen.
What truly elevated the experience for me, though, was the service. The staff are just top-notch; super attentive, friendly, and they really make you feel taken care of. And the drinks? Phenomenal! Whether you’re into cocktails or something else, they’ve got that covered and done incredibly well.
So yeah, it’s a splurge, but for the amazing food, fantastic service, and excellent drinks, Caballo Bayo is totally worth it for a special occasion or when you just want to treat yourself.

Strolled in after visiting the somaya museum next door. Amazing views of the Soumaya and the service is amazing. Everyone greets you with a smile and their suggestions are awesome! Tried their lengua specialty and reminded me of home cooking . And probably one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had. My server David and the rest of the staff were top notch! Thank you!

Went with a group of 8 for dinner after the museum and it appeared to be a nice restaurant so we expected good service. That was our second mistake after walking in- the food is average nothing fancy just regular Mexican food. The decor is nice and has a decent view but the service is at a very low level. There’s so many people that came to our table and the staff would forget things or never come back, and made several “silly” mistakes. One particularly annoying thing is that we would ask for a specific drink and they would try to change your mind for a promotion. We took them up on one of the promotions for an espresso drink and liquor 43 and regretted that immediately. They said it’s 2 for one and brought out one drink and then wanted to charge the second drink. Some other notables- they brought salsa and no chips- after 20minutes they brought exactly 8 chips in a basket after having asked twice. I immediately asked for more as there’s 8 of us and it seemed obvious. They brought 1 menu… I could go on but their service was embarrassing for the type of restaurant they appear to be. My plate was about $450 pesos and the food tasted like the price should be half of it. All in all- this place is not worth it for dinner. Maybe just drink and a good view is fine.

I had low expectations for this place as in a shopping centre but it was a delight in the end.
