The breakfasts are very good: big portions, high quality, delicious food at a fair and decent price. I highly recommend the homemade toast and the breakfast burrito, the omelette with sausage gravy is pretty good as well. I have had almost everything on the breakfast menu and nothing has been a disappointment. The only thing that I haven’t liked is the coconut cream pie. The texture was all wrong, no flavor, partially frozen, and the crust was really bad. Stick with breakfast and you’ll be happy. Also, be prepared, if you’re not a regular, they all stare at you when you walk in, and there are tables for regulars that aren’t marked and you’ll be asked to move if you sit there. Not a super friendly place for outsiders, except for the waitress, who is always kind and welcoming, however.

Use to eat here 3 to 4 times a week for 3 people. As of about a month ago everything has gone down hill.. all the polite service people are gone and a rude and condescending teen is there. She was the rudest and most uncaring person to have ever wait on me. Now there are no substitutions unless you pay full price.. example today I wanted chili instead of fries and was told I had to pay full price plus full price for the chili and would still be paying for the fries too. When I explained I ate there frequently and had never been a problem paying the difference. I said I would be eating else where now, the teen told me that was fine, the diner was doing fine and didn’t need my 150 to 200 a week I spend on food. Well needless to say I will be eating elsewhere from now on. I will say the food was good but the lack of caring staff and new policies are disgusting.

This is a Monday we decided to try a couple specials.. ghoulish and Swiss steak sandwich.. a little disappointed. Food was bland tasting and for being on the board as specials.. it took 35 minutes to get to the table.. and its just microwaved.
