We were there for the Robert Deitch show on a Sunday night. Pizza was great. Beer cold. Atmosphere was laid back listening to Robert and his band. Good service. Fun crowd of music loving people.

Memories of John Prine. A day after they played to 700 in Iowa City, David and Jason played to 100+ in Byron’s. An eclectic crowd enjoyed the memories of John along with the wonderful music of John’s longtime sidemen, David Jacques on bass and Jason Wilber on lead guitar. I drove 500 miles roundtrip to see them…worth every mile! Rock G

One of the most iconic and intimate musical settings in Iowa. Tucked away in the vast open fields of Iowa this little bar is a little hippies paradise. Byron has such great stories and the biggest of hearts. Go now to support him!

This place is a real gem. I hope they get the funds to save the building it’s in or find another building to move to.

Live music is always fun & Byron’s gets a good variety. The old building adds to the overall atmosphere. Communal sink located outside the bathrooms lets you observe the bartenders not washing their hands

AHH-MAZING! We’ve heard about this place for a long while now but never had been able to make the drive until this past weekend. Soooo worth the drive! The atmosphere is bursting full of good energy – everyone is friendly & welcoming – music sounded fabulous. I couldn’t have asked for a better night out. The space itself is intimate & cozy but you can still find room to politely dance if the music is calling your heart to groove! There is SO MUCH memorabilia & funny decor to see all over! Just when you thought you saw everything, something else will catch your eye!
They do have frozen pizzas you can purchase to help soak up your drinks from your belly which is a great little touch! Bar is stocked with basics, there was a couple wine choices, seltzers (white claw), and beer was a plenty. They had a couple IPAs & your usual standard beer choices as well. You don’t want to miss the “intermissions” in between the band breaks. hahah such a great time & I cannot wait to come back here!
Highly recommend everyone come here at least once – but heck, you know you’ll be back again because you enjoyed it so much the first time!

Best bar in the county. Byron will treat you like family. The pizza and entertainment can’t be beat. Atmosphere is very welcoming. No fights, rarely a heated argument. Hard not to smile when you walk in the front door.

Excellent venue for a truly intimate band experience…Seen Stutterin’ Jimmy and the Goosebumps few years back and had a beautiful emotional experience. There’s something about the place, down to its foundation. You can feel like every musicians triumphs and struggles all wrapped up in an essance that resonates within its walls.
