Wings, crab & hearty bar fare served in a warm & lively, traditional pub-style atmosphere.

Talk about an absolute gem, this place is unreal. Old school joint, huge menu, couldn’t believe all the options, we were there to eat and try a bunch of great offerings and did we ever. Wings were fall off the bone good, perfect sauce, loved getting them in a bowl with tons of sauce. Soup was unreal, tons of spice, perfect. Pirogies have the crisp shell, loaded with filling, tons of onions, and really filling. The crab logs are like jojos with old bay and really great in the cheese sauce. Pies were amazing and beers were ice cold. Best part, 3 guys ate an absolute ton of food for $99 before tip. I mean we were uncomfortably full, but the price was right!
Service was great. Made you feel like family immediately.
Will be a staple anytime I come to the area.

Byrne’s Tavern supposedly has some of the best buffalo wings. Came on a Thursday for lunch to try & the place was packed.
Friendly service, local patrons, homey vibe in there. The wings were unforgettable, a let down honestly. The sauce tasted a bit too tangy for me and the wings weren’t crispy in the slightest. A little soggy. Maybe we came on an off day.

Byrne’s Tavern, above all else, is the coziest and most welcoming bar/restaurant I know. Their delicious wings, crabs, sandwiches, and pizzas are all prepared with love, and their front of house is so unapologetically Philly—from the staff to the decor. I feel right at home!
Byrne’s makes the best wings in Philadelphia. They fall right off the bone, and they come drenched in the most perfectly balanced, tangy and spicy house-made buffalo sauce. It’s the only sauce option they have, so you KNOW it’s good.
They have a sizable menu, but I haven’t tried a lot of their food yet because every time I’m there, I can’t help but just eat an ungodly amount of wings. If you’re planning on visiting this place, do yourself a favor and try the wings!

I stopped by Byrne’s Tavern in Philadelphia and really enjoyed the classic bar experience! It’s a neighborhood favorite with a warm, laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for grabbing a cold beer or a casual bite with friends. The atmosphere feels welcoming and friendly — the kind of place where locals hang out after work.
The drink selection was solid, with plenty of beer on tap and a good range of spirits. I also tried one of their sandwiches, and it was simple, hearty, and tasted great with the drinks. The staff were friendly and made the visit feel comfortable and easy.
Overall, Byrne’s Tavern is a great spot if you’re looking for a relaxed bar with good drinks, classic bar food, and a genuine Philly neighborhood feel — definitely worth checking out!

Stopped by this “hole-in-the-wall” tavern with some friends, hungry and ready. The wings were banging, the mozz sticks were amazing, the wedges were perfect, and the jalapeño poppers were delicious. Great deals for drink buckets and friendly service sealed the deal. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Philly!

Byrnes Tavern is one of those true Philly gems that hits you the second you walk in. It’s tight, it’s loud, it’s packed, and somehow you feel welcomed every single time. It’s the definition of a local pub that knows exactly who it is.
The wings are the standout—easily some of my favorite anywhere. Perfect every time, never overcooked, never under-sauced, just consistently spot‑on. The food across the board has never missed for us. Quick, hot, and exactly what you want from a place like this.
The staff is as friendly as it gets. Even when the place is jammed, they move fast and treat you like you’ve been coming there for years. That’s a big part of why it feels like home for us when we’re away from home.
Byrnes has become a guaranteed stop whenever we’re in Philly. It’s a staple for us—great food, great people, and that old‑school pub vibe you can’t fake.

Nice neighborhood bar with a great food selection. Very Irish flavor. Crowded at peak times, but the wait is not too bad. Long beer list, prices are reasonable.

Small town vibe right by the river. Treat you like family. Good food, good conversation, and they have Heineken 0.0 which is a huge plus for me personally. Any 1 star review is just bitter. Ask for Maureen she’s the bomb.
