I almost forgot the fancy virgin colada has to be the best mocktail ever made.
our server Joao was fantastic — very welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick with anything we needed. he checked in at the perfect times and made the whole experience smooth. Great food and excellent service
We started with the Air bread and also the Alentejo bread with smoked butter. Both were a perfect beginning, warm, rich, and comforting, especially with that butter that melts in your mouth.
For mains, we went all in. We shared the entrecôte with potato pavé and aioli, and the Wagyu with sweet potato mash. We also asked for the pepper sauce and the mushroom sauce on the let me just say: the meats were incredibly tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour.
I loved the fact that you can choose your own knife and even sample different types of salt, which really elevates the whole experience.
Even though we were completely stuffed, we couldn’t resist sharing their famous brownie for dessert. And it is a must-try, truly. Warm, gooey, rich, and indulgent. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Thank you so much team!!!
Another long awaiting restaurant on my wishlist, BYF steakhouse didn’t disappoint, although the tab is steep and some aspects could be improved.
I ordered their most expensive dish at the time, the T-Bone Steak.
It’s a 75€, 800g steak!!!
Nothing to point out in terms of quality, the meat was tender, juicy, delicious even if it was closer to rare rather the medium rare as i had asked.
They also provided a row of different types of salt that i could try out with the extensive quantity of the steak.
Is it worth the price?
I believe so, altough i think they could include the french fries with the steak to make it more affordable.
Each french frie serving is incredibly small (see the picture below) and costs a whopping 4€! The fries servings fall short even for the smaller steaks on the menu, let alone for a 800g T-Bone steak!
The draft beer is average and costs 4,5€ for each 40cl mug.
The brownie is well cooked and has a nice presentation as you can see on the video i attached but, again, falls short on the serving size departament (you can finish it in around 6 bites).
The staff was friendly and diligent and the atmosphere was cool.
All in all, BYF Steakhouse is a pricy dining experience considering it is not a fine dining restaurant, but it is a worthy experience for any meat lover and deserves it’s recognition and a visit.
Make a reservation or you might not get a seat.
