While in Philadelphia for an event, I was told to check out By George! If I wanted a great and authentic Philly cheesesteak. I waded through a mob of people in the market to get there but it was very very worth the effort. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was absolutely incredible. I had to dig deep to finish the large portion because it tasted so good!
I highly recommend you check them out if you’re going to be in Philadelphia for any reason!

BEWARE: Tall guy, blk hair, with glasses on the hot side served up my $60.48 order today. 4 chicken parm’s to go.
He destroyed the order. Partial chicken in 2. A chicken and a half in the other 2.
All just ZERO F’s given on portion control and service. I paid for it. Said keep it. I don’t want it. Walked away. Then decided to feed 4 homeless in front of the spot on the street.
Someone needs to be retrained. How many people have been shorted portions based on this guys ZERO F’s given?
Will let the whole office know. 37 employees. We are all penny pinchers and care about getting what we pay for.That’s 37 customers lost due to skimping portions and ZERO F’s given about it.

We visited By George while in Philadelphia. And of course while one is in Philadelphia, one has to try a Philadelphia Cheesesteak. We eat it right away, but when we did By George cheesesteak didn’t let us down. Cheesesteak had good seasonings and the bread was soft but not soggy. When visiting Reading Terminal Market, drop by By George and try their Philly Cheesesteak or any number of their sandwiches.

I’m from Texas and every time I’ve visited Philly I have to stop here for a slice. They didn’t have my favorite eggplant pizza this time so I got something different and it was still delish. Their marinara is perfecto so I get some on the side!

First time here and this was the best mushroom cheesesteak I have ever had. Definitely on par with Angelo’s, ishkabibles, and Larry’s. The seeded roll was soft like the inside of a freshly baked pretzel factory pretzel. The shredded beef was oh so tender with the fried onions, mushrooms, cooper cheese, with ketchup. When I tell you finger lickin, finger lickin, finger lickin goood!!!! Thanks to the guy at the smoothie shop for the great recommendation!!!

How do you make THE BEST Italian takeout anywhere? I have been coming here for years and you never disappoint. The sauce is fresh and flavorful (always say yes to extra sauce), the food is amazing, and the guys behind the counter must have discovered the secret to perpetual motion because veneer seen them stop moving. My go to spot for take away after the flower show.

Came here wanted to try the cheesesteak but they don’t do half sandwiches you have to get a full one which was too much for me lol i ended up getting pizza and it was huge and really good. The place is kinda messy but there’s so much to choose from so i might come back to try other things

There are so many lines in reading terminal. But you won’t have to wait long for a slice of pizza at the counter here. Not because it isn’t good but because…well idk why tbh. But the pizza here is super duper solid. My favorite is the honey pepperoni. Check them out! Friendly staff too
