Probably our best food experience in Cuba. After 1.5 weeks of just grilled everything, we needed something different, though we had no idea how lucky we were when we walked in here.
First, both the waiters were very nice. The food was also great, and not just by cuban standards. I got the mutton curry, and it was just spicy enough.
As we started eating a man playing the fiddle was just winding down his show. Then, slowly but surely, several cuban musicians of all ages walked in and started playing. At most they were a full band of 9. I am only sad that there were few people there that night to hear them play, because it was amazing.
Also, the drinks were very great and the bartender proudly embellished about every one.
Overall it was a bit more expensive than standard cuban food, but definitely still good value. The drinks were lavish, and i imagine that a lot of time goes into importing the indian spices.

Nice place, good flavors. The restaurant is a kind of elite feeling with quality furnitures. The overall impression is 5/5.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Desi/South Asian food is impossible to find in Havana so when I heard about this place I had to go, and it didn’t disappoint! Food, atmosphere and service were all great! Even the Chef came out to greet us which was great (actually Indian who told us they import all spices from India). Serving size was a tad small and the prices were steep but honestly worth it since you can’t get anything like this anywhere else. Indian food is one of my favorites growing up so this restaurant definitely has a special place in my heart. Too pricey to eat often for a student like me but I’ll definitely come back again for a special occasion.

We recently checked out Buena Vista Curry Club in Havana and it totally blew us away. It’s like stepping right into India, with food that’s so authentic and fresh, you’d swear the spices were flown in that morning. The veggie dishes were crisp and flavorful, and the chai? Just like the streets of India. Plus, the vibes are chill with Buena Vista Social Club tunes in the background, making for a super cool mix of Cuban and Indian vibes.
The chef was a real standout, sharing recipes and making us feel right at home. Prices are decent too, which is awesome. If you’re in Havana and craving some legit Indian food, this place is a must-visit. It’s not just about the food; it’s the whole experience that’ll have you coming back for more.

This was a nice fusion-y Indian-Cuban restaurant. The barbecue fruit was great – but VERY spicy (as indicated on the menu). The okra was also great. The vibe inside is fun. I was worried it would feel like a traditional Indian restaurant that I could have gone to anywhere, but it felt unique and I would come back here. Recommend!

We visited this place as they had a Halal sign and we were very happy but we saw the Menu and it has pork and also Alcohol which doesn’t work that a Halal restaurant would have Halal food and these things.
We ordered Chicken Curry, Mutton Curry, Samosas and bread.
The chicken tasted not like chicken and we started feeling it is something else.
The Mutton Curry is good
Samosas are delicious
Mango Lessi is also tasty
Customer Service is great and welcoming by the Manager, waiter and even the chef
The reasons I am giving it 3 star is because:-
– Halal food, pork and Alcohol can’t be in one restaurant
– My friend got very sick because of the food for the last 5 days
– Chicken curry not confident that it was even a chicken

Glad to have visited this place.
Kudos to the Chef for managing the real taste of India with even this less amount of supplies. Good job Chef, keep it up.
This place offers a large variety of VEGETARIAN and VEGAN options. Definitely recommending to the readers.
See you soon again. (Definitely try the Samosa as starters)

Amazing Indian food which is almost impossible to find anywhere else in Cuba.
They don’t take card payments which is a bit of a issue as currency crunch is anyway a problem with tourists.
Overall a great place to have Indian delicacies in Havana, Cuba. The Bollywood posters only add to the charm and theme of India!!!

I enjoyed this place so much that I went back for dinner the next night during my Havana trip! Not only was the food delicious, but my server was cheerful and efficient (and gave me great service as a solo female diner, which does not always happen), and the music was top notch! I love Indian food, and have gone to Indian restaurants in many different countries, but BVCC holds a special place in my heart for being absolutely unique. I enjoyed my biryani as well as the vindaloo and naan I had on the second night. Drinks were refreshing and well-mixed. A bit more expensive than some of the surrounding options, but I felt it was still a great value with the high quality of the food, pleasant atmosphere, and insanely good music.
