Love this place!! Such an awesome spot to grab some Hawaiian and a dole whip. The food is amazing, we got skewers and the chicken plate with rice and macaroni. The dole whip was also awesome. It’s a small space but they offer in restaurant seating and it’s connected to the bar next to it, giving you the opportunity to utilize that side for sitting and grabbing a drink. The vibes were cozy, the people were nice and helpful. Overall, would highly recommend for some authentic Hawaiian.

They sent my meal with no sauce making this completely inedible DRY PORK. Then Liza, who answered the phone hung up on me when I called. They did not remedy the situation in any way. Also, the gross little spam thing tasted like rotten fish. I wanted to like them, but I can’t see this place being in business long. Rude and disgusting food. Should be ashamed to be in the service industry.

A Delicious Local Gem for Hawaiian Cravings
I was seriously craving Hawaiian food and was stoked to find this little spot nearby. I started with the musubi and shumai—both hit the spot, but the musubi especially stood out. It was a generous portion and packed with flavor.
For my main, I went with a mixed plate of tonkatsu chicken and kalua pork. The pork was tender and flavorful, and while the chicken was a bit overcooked, it still had a nice crunch. The pineapple garnish was a great touch and added a bit of brightness to the plate.
What really impressed me is that everything is handmade with care, and they’re committed to using biodegradable containers whenever possible. You can really feel the love they put into the food and their values.
From humble food truck beginnings to a full brick-and-mortar, this place is absolutely worth checking out. Come support local, eat well, and go green!

Buzz’s is my favorite restaurant in the whole city and county of St louis. I always come back to this place whenever I need a good meal. I have had a birthday dinner here twice and many countless other good times. Each time I order the same thing, the tofu katsu plate, and each time it is delicious. The mac salad is truly a star. The tofu is always cooked to perfection. And the rice, the rice is phenomenal. I haven’t explored too much out of my typical order but have tried a few of their dessert items and all have been wonderful. I recommend Buzz’s to all St. Louisians and anyone visiting the town for a good meal.

This was our first time here. We ordered 2 acai bowls.
Took 35 minutes to get them. They were really rude when we asked them about the status of our order. Didn’t bring spoons or napkins or anything.
Acai was food but fruits were frozen and not fresh.
Won’t return here!
I don’t recommend.

I have been trying to find a good hawaiian food place in St. Louis. My husband and I decided to try this spot because I was craving it like crazy. It met ever expectation. I loved everything. We got musubi, chicken katsu, and teriyaki chicken. All the food was fresh and tasted great.
The person taking our order, I didn’t catch a name, was incredibly nice and helpful. I ended up ordering even more before we left so I could try more things tomorrow (or when I get hungry tonight)
I will definitely be returning!

The food was so good that we came back the next day for round two! The owner was so nice and gave us a great recommendation—adding kalua pig to the loco moco. We’d never thought to do that before, but now we’ll never order it any other way! Everything was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The service was just as great, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for amazing food and great hospitality, this is the place to go!

Update>>> I forgot to elevate the Ube crinkle cookies. Buzz’s should ship those cookies nationwide like they do with Dad’s cookies. They are a delicious grain-free snack for those searching desperately for a grain free sweet!
Original review- I ordered a grain free poke bowl (octopus) and a side of ahi with fries and an açaí bowl. The fries were descent. The açaí was okay, although the portion felt gargantuan and came in a container that opened too easily. The octopus was very chewy. Take from that what you will. The ahi was a bit salty. This was a bit disappointing.

Buzz’s Hawaiian Grill deserves all the love. I went here once with my family after seeing them pop up on my Instagram and everything looked so good we just had to try it. When we got there we ordered multiple things to try and loved every. single. thing! So, when we were looking for a place to treat our teachers for my job (I work at a local STL school) I thought of Buzz’s right away. Everything was absolutely incredible, and working with the owner to order and get the food here was so easy and a delight. We ordered rice, lumpia, chicken, pork, mac salad, but the star of the show that day was the musubi! Everyone really loved those! A thank you really doesn’t even cover it! They are amazing and put a lot of love in their food.

Great food, I got a burger and fried. They accept cards, nice condiment area to get extra sauce. Connected to the Tick Tok Bar (cash only) and you can eat your food in there. Signed up for their rewards program while I was there, have not been bombarded with texts, yay!
