This place hit just all the marks. Food, service, and vibe was all on point. We are here on business from out of town and had recommendations from the locals about this place. We were seated immediately and our waitress showed up promptly to take our drink orders. Her name was Sarah and she was absolutely amazing. She did everything right. Even when a couple of members of our party weren’t pleased with their food, she was attentive and patient. She made additional recommendations and went to put in new orders. I had the armadillo eggs and they were fried perfectly. They were something new that I’ve never tried before and I was pleased. I had mine with blue cheese. I also had the wings with two flavors: sweet chili and buffalo. Both were good and fresh. One of my partners had the bayou flavor. I tried one and it tasted even better than what I ordered. Perfect place to get some friends together and have a good time with good food.

If you’re feeling adventurous, don’t miss out on their alligator bites. These crispy little morsels are surprisingly tasty and offer a unique twist to your dining experience.

We stopped here after a youth UNL football camp. It’s just a few blocks from the stadium. We had the brisket mac n cheese with a side salad and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were massive but delicious. Best I’ve had in a long time. The mac N cheese was delicious, not too salty, not too cheesy. If you are a Mac fan, it’s definitely worth a try!

Had a great first time experience here, started with the armadillo eggs in which are chicken balls wrapped in bacon with cream cheese jalapeno poppers inside. The service was excellent and extremely friendly which is great cuz as a first timer I have lots of questions. I recommend giving this place a try and another nice part about it was you could eat inside or outside.

Went for dinner and ordered steaks with the rice and corn. Steak was cooked well but not seasoned at all. Neither was the rice and I didn’t care for the corn. Hubby got the gumbo and liked it. Our waitress was very nice and took care of us well. She saved the evening…food left a lot to be desired.

Visit date: 6-26-23 The most awful bisque I’ve ever seen. This is their crawfish bisque. The menu says it has “succulent crawfish” however after thoroughly searching through this lumpy stuff there were no crawfish to be found. I asked a lady behind the bar if there were supposed to be crawfish and she said “there are crawfish, you just can’t see them, but it should taste like crawfish”. I’ve never seen a server in such denial of a terrible dish being served to a customer. She didn’t even offer to take it back, I had to ask her if she would. What a poor example of what are server should be.

Atmosphere is really fun but the service was a bit questionable. Overall the food was decent especially considering this is NE! Hush puppies were amazing and the blackened chicken was tender and not dry. The gumbo while flavorful had a very odd consistency. Beware of up charges if you have a kiddo – we were charged extra for several menu items and nowhere was it listed.

I really enjoy this place. Great atmosphere and food. I dinged it a star because on this visit, it took almost an hour to get our food. There were 4 of us, didn’t order anything special. Two tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. Server didn’t stop by to let us know what was taking so long. We were that close to walking out when our food arrived. We have eaten here before and didn’t have this problem, this wasn’t normal. Highly recommend it.
