It’s a small place at a gas station, I heard good things, so decided to check it out. I got chicken teriyaki plate with dumplings. Dumplings were tasty, although the dough separated from the filling rather easily and they were a bit too hard in the outside, not even close to being freshly made. The chicken had a lot of char which added flavor, but it was dry (despite being a thigh) and the sauce was cloyingly sweet and gloopy. The plate weighed at least 1.5 lbs, the portion is huge for $17.99.

Okay, hear me out. I’m very generous on my stars. For teriyaki, I will vote Buxx as the best teriyaki in Seattle, greater Seattle. Many reasons it deserves the 5. It’s like they already know what you’re going to order, because the food comes out so fast no matter how long the wait is. They run a tight crew, I assume. Because it’s been the same people running the place for the 20 years I’ve come here. The prices are great, there are many specials you can choose from if you’re craving for salty & sweet, they have a katsu/teriyaki special. For me, I always get the chicken super combo, for $21, you get the chicken teriyaki, salad & rice, potstickers and an egg roll. The people who run the business are the sweetest people , I think the husband and wife switch off on shifts because they’re always open.

Got the chicken and beef shortrib combo. Super tasty. Freshly made. They are quick with to-go orders. Don’t expect top tier customer service. You order your food. Get what you need and go. Fast and simple.

Got to stop by this place while visiting Seattle recommended by my friend. I was not disappointed at all. Everything was made fresh to order. I really enjoy the dumplings and the shrimp roll as well as the shrimp tempura. I will stop by again to try other options. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable.

My friend told me this is his favorite for Teriyaki and now it’s mine. Generous portions. My go to is the Chicken Teriyaki. Sometimes when I’m in a noodle mood I’ll get the Shrimp Yakisoba. Both dishes don’t disappoint it can get busy I’d recommend calling your order in for take out.

$25 for two #1 teriyaki chicken combo meals. Good portions for the price! The teriyaki was tasty and the rice was so soft and sticky. My daughter asked for sauces on the side and they gladly obliged.

I called my order in and said I would be there in 10 minutes. I also said I would eat it there. When I get there it’s in a to go container and bag. I let them know that it was for dine in. Went to wash my hands and returned for my food. The cashier hands me the food in the bag with teriyaki sauce. I didn’t complain but felt that it wasn’t professional. When I opened the container it was barely any chicken and a bunch of rice. Usually it’s so much food that I eat half and take the rest with me. I went to ask for another sauce for my 2 egg rolls because I was only given one in a very small container. I asked the cashier “did they change the size of the portions because I was still hungry. She said no but it felt a little off to me. Like they gave me the lunch size special at dinner prices.
I usually patronize their establishment once a week but I get the short-ribs. Which is way more meat than the chicken I received today.
I believe they just lost a loyal customer.
As a restaurant owner I would have at least tried to satisfy my customer. I wish I would have taken pictures.

Sweet and sour chicken was probably the best I ever had. It was actually crunchy and not soggy. Flavor was great. I liked the thinness and small size of the carrots.

Really tasty food! The person who took my order was very nice, the food was ready quickly, and the sauces were yummy. The portion size was surprisingly large and the food was clearly very fresh.
The prices have changed significantly from pictures posted by the restaurant in the past (I see the really low prices are pre-covid) so be aware of that. I shared pictures of the current menu and specials. Delicious, nonetheless!
