I had such a wonderful experience at Bunni Coffee Inwood thanks to Maribel. She was incredibly polite, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Her friendly attitude and professionalism made the visit feel extra special. It’s clear she truly cares about providing great service—my order was perfect, and she made sure everything was just right.

Thank you, Maribel, for making my day a little brighter. Bunni Coffee is lucky to have you!

Buunni is always such a wonderful experience. I buy the Addis Ababa blend to brew at home and any other coffee is just not the same. Their drinks in the store are always amazing too, but this winter seasonal Fort Tryon mocha is next level!! Charlie, Maribel, and the entire staff is wonderful and talented and so knowledgeable. If I ever have to move away from Inwood, I’ll be heartbroken to not have Buunni as my local coffee spot.

Buunni is my favorite local coffee shop. The staff is always friendly, the drinks are consistently great, and the space itself is both spacious and cozy, with beautiful natural light, chill music, and reliable Wi-Fi—perfect for working or settling in with a good book.

I also really appreciate the available restroom, which is such a useful amenity, and the teacher discount for our caffeine-driven selves. The book donation bin by the front is another thoughtful touch; I’ve donated books there in the past and have also found a few gems for myself. The pastries are delicious too, and they’re happy to warm them up if you’d like.

Overall, I truly love this coffee shop and can’t recommend it enough.

The staff is so warm and friendly. Very accomodating and open to suggestions. Chloe the manager is the best and makes everyone feel welcomed. A great community hot spot and place where local artists, singers and actors are given opportunities to display their talents! The coffee is pretty damn good too,

This is a my favorite place to escape to when I need a breather or a change of scenery from home. I lock in for work every time I come here I love coming to the monthly open mics too. It’s magical bonus points with all the events that they host supporting the community. I was born and raised here and I feeling the cafe puts me on to what’s going on today in my community which is nice because we don’t always know what’s going on in our neighborhoods. And it’s all and always good vibes

Update: Buunni has more vegan options for pastries. I got the vegan carrot cake muffin and vegan croissant and they both were moist inside. They didn’t taste sweet which I liked. The prices for both were a good price and not over priced. I would definitely get this again when I want to indulge.

This is a nice cozy coffee shop to do work, have a drink or food. They use to sell Ethiopian food and I will miss that. I love their vegan options for food and treats. Make they bring more vegan options to the menu. I love their chickpea salad. Nice and light and usually good portion. They have a nice tea selection and good matcha. It’s a vibe.

I recently collaborated with Buunni by hosting an event for a community I created (Black Girls at Leisure). Maribel was very helpful, patient and kind during the process. We were able to offer a custom coffee tasting for a group of 8 of us. The drink and pastry pairings were something non of us could have selected if we tried! Such an amazing experience and I’m looking forward to going again!

Great hot bev selection – and besides cocoa or cinammon on top they also have optionally Cardamom! Comfy atmosphere, nice crowd.

Usually I don’t buy prepackaged meals because I find it isn’t as good as something that’s freshly made, but a gomen injera wrap seemed interesting. I had them heat it up and it was truly delicious! And it was healthy. I felt full but not stuffed like with a flour wrap or bread. I loved it. One complaint I have that is outside of the cafe’s control is that there weren’t many people of color as there were when I went many years ago. This area has had a large Dominican population for decades which speaks highly to gentrification. Maybe Sunday afternoon isn’t the best time to go but I was disappointed with the atmosphere. This is true about both the locations.

I won’t say they have the most creamy or smooth cappuccino BUT their coffee tasted great! Their own coffee beans have good quality. Would like to go back for black coffee next time!

They also make their own pastries, so I got a scone, recommended by the staff.. it was delicious! When it comes to mixed-berry flavor, there’s usually no strawberry, but their version did☺️ It was solid but moist, really like the way they made it.

In addition, I can tell they are super community engaged which is awesome! So happy to see this kind of cafe exists in neighborhoods!❤️‍
