We got a pork plate and a pork sandwich
The pork had no taste or flavor
Tasted like it was boiled
No bbq sauce on the meat or sandwich
Very little meat on the sandwich compared to other bbq places
Our meat was cold
The baked beans and okra tasted pretty good
The fries were very thin with no potato in them. More of a personal opinion
I would not recommend this place

So while working in Alabama I decided to try a local place so I went try bbq. Let me start off by saying the people who worked there were very very friendly. So when looking at the menu the prices were super affordable I mean you would have spent the same or more for fast food. The food was delish the fries were fresh hot and good and the smoked wings are huge so a 10 piece can feed 2. So if you’re coming through Alabama and want a whole meal for $10 this is the place to go….

A couple coworkers all ordered food together for lunch. The pulled pork was old, dry, and greasy, the Mac and cheese tasted like it was kraft powder Mac and cheese and the black eyed peas had no flavor but full of raw onion. The burger was so salty you couldn’t eat it and every plate was wrong. The ribs were boiled. For sauce they sent ketchup and mustard but no bbq sauce. The only thing good was the banana pudding but 4 dollars for tiny cup is ridiculous. Over $100 dollars in food and it all was terrible. Won’t be ordering from here again.

BTG’s catering catered a Thanksgiving meal where I work. Great choice! BTG never didsapoints! Good stuff.
I would have given a rating of *5* on food had I been able to taste sage in the dressing. Outstanding, either way!

I found my food soulmate today. I’m a retired Chef, known to “dabble” in bbq, and in general I just know really good food when I find it. Today at Butts To Go I had the best, excuse me, the BEST BBQ Pork Sandwich I have ever had. This thing checked every single box, cost, value, appearance, portion, flavor, aroma, visual appearance….. EVERYTHING!!! Friendly staff, clean restaurant, the smell punches you in the nose as soon as you enter the building. Not lying, as soon I entered I said, “This is gonna be good!” I had no idea how right I was. I have eaten Michelin starred foods, created many exquisite meals myself, and this was almost a “religious experience “ to me. Go, get the Jumbo Sandwich, you won’t be sorry. If you don’t like it, I will gladly eat what’s left of yours.

Not much for atmosphere (it’s inside a gas station) but the smoked pork is incredible. The staff treated me like family, the portions are huge and there’s a small area of tables to enjoy their food. I had a slab of baby back ribs that was super tender with a rich smoke flavor.
