You Need To Know? Arrived at this truck stop BBQ for dinner & it was surprisingly delicious. Smoked proteins, smoked mac & cheese, & the flavor of the smoke is not over-powering made this BBQ a winner for us. On this road trip we had the BBQ platter, the BBQ chckn tender melt, mac & cheese & the Gobblers turkey. The meats were tender, the mac & cheese was heavy & creamy, the BBQ baked beans were homemade & very flavorful. This truck stop offers an amazing bite to eat for those traveling through or if you live close by, it is certainly worth trying. Some good BBQ offerings. Now You Know! -TBH

The Food was ok for me, I oder chicken drumsticks unfortunately is was not what I was expecting. The chicken was on the Cold side. The taste waS like gasoline fluid I guess that means is smoked.

Smoked chicken thighs are perfect. Greatly seasoned and juicy. I drive a semi and try to stop here to eat for my break. Worth the stop.

Very nice and pleasant place. The people were very nice, but the food was great! I am not one that usually likes pulled pork, but theirs was delicious!

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon in early June for a quick lunch while traveling. I was looking for something in the area that I didn’t think would take a lot of time but would still be good and I saw this on the map at the Blue Ridge Travel Plaza.

I was expecting a travel plaza like you see on the turnpike but this was not quite that but they had a bbq stand. You do have to go inside the travel plaza to get to the bbq joint so when you pull in to the parking lot don’t think it closed down. It’s in there.

We ordered at the counter and didn’t wait very long for the food to be ready. I believe the young man who took the order also prepared the food. He was friendly.

The food was better than I was expecting and the portion sizers were generous. I’ll it’s that the baked beans have big beans in them- maybe lima beans. The prices were good. We sat inside but there were a couple outdoor picnic tables under a covered patio area. There is a sign on the tables that say if you give a good review and show them you will get complimentary fries. I am doing the review late and don’t anticipate on returning anytime soon but just pointing it out if you decide to stop and want free fries.

The travel stop sells alcohol so if you choose to, and you’re over 21, you can have a beer with your bbq. They also have your standard convenience store coolers full of drinks.

I drive once a month from Northern Virginia to western Massachusetts, Going to and fro, I stop in for a half pound of pulled pork and sides of coleslaw. Coleslaw is excellent! I grew up in M’boro Il and was classmate of world class BBQ champ, Mike Mills, of 17th St. BBQ. Buttons is better! Good smoked pork flavor and ask for plenty of “bark.” Great BBQ! Go fer it!

Incredible lunch stop while towing a camper back home. Plenty of oversized parking, nice tables inside to eat at, and the food was amazing. From the brisket to the pulled pork and chicken thighs were smoked perfectly. Fries were some of the best Iv ever had. Mac and cheese and baked beans were slammin. We will definitely be back!!

This was our first time at Buttons as we are traveling through PA. The food was DELICIOUS! The service was 10/10 and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of it all even though I didn’t eat inside. They also have two kiosk where you can order from as well. If ever I’m in PA again (which I come at least every other week), my husband’s a truck driver… we will eat here.
