I really love the breakfast egg sandwich. It is made to order and has the pillow iest puff bread wrapped along this light egg patty with fantastic sauce on both ends. I thought the matcha latte I ordered was quite a bit chalky textured and not as tasty as the sandwich. I also appreciate the business does not expect tips but built a 12% service charge into the menu for its staff.

Everything was so good. The egg tart was so tasty that I completely forgot to take a picture until it was gone. Definitely try the egg tart.
I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich too.
The space feels light and cozy, with plenty of plants . Such a great overall experience!

I am so impressed by this cafe. I have been a few times and I am disabled and they are so kind and helpful with getting me my food. This is a huge reflection on the staff’s kindness and desire to go above and beyond. The morning bun is absolutely a must! So many layers of pastry and the cinnamon and sugar is amazing. As a homebaker with many years of experience, all their pastries that I have tried are exceptional. I also recommend their teas and coffees. I love their morning bun syrup as well. I have been to both locations and they are always doing such good work. I cannot recommend them enough.

Absolutely loved my recent visit to Butternut Bakehouse! This place is a total gem, and I just have to share how awesome it was.

First off, the blueberry cake there is out of this world. Seriously, it’s like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. The cake was super moist, and the blueberries were perfectly sweet – not too sugary, just natural and delicious. It’s one of those cakes that you keep thinking about long after you’ve finished eating.

Then there was the cappuccino. I’m kind of picky about my coffee, but their cappuccino was on point. It had the perfect amount of foam, and the temperature was just right. It wasn’t too hot or too cold, which is super important for a good cappuccino. It was the kind of drink that makes you feel all cozy and happy inside.

The vibe of Butternut Bakehouse is also worth mentioning. It’s got this cool, laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to hang out there all day. The staff were super friendly too. They greeted me right when I walked in and were really nice the whole time. It’s cool when you can feel comfortable in a place right away.

And oh, the smells in the bakehouse! As soon as you walk in, you get hit with the scent of fresh baking, and it’s amazing. It’s like walking into a cloud of happiness. I could seriously just sit there and smell the air all day.

I’m already planning my next trip back to Butternut Bakehouse. Gotta try more of their cakes and maybe some pastries too. If you haven’t been there yet, you’re totally missing out. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves good cake and coffee!

The coffee is pretty good, could be better. But the reason for the 5 stars is because of their food/baked goods. They are very good and keep me coming back, especially for their morning buns.

I stopped in before New Years to get some pastries for my family. It’s so exciting to have a new artisan bakery in Belmont Center, with beautiful natural light and comfortable seating. Butternut makes the best canelés I’ve ever had – lightly caramelized on the outside, custardy on the inside, with a delicious floral vanilla flavor. I can’t recommend them enough!

I’m so glad Butternut is open in Belmont! Service was fab, we were taking our time looking over the menu and pastry case, the cashier offered to help with any questions or suggestions genuinely.

We ended up with several pastries, coffees, and an egg sandwich. Everything tasted divine, especially the sandwich!

Cannot wait to return!

The baked goods are amazing. But the sandwiches for lunch might even be better. Definitely check this place out for a great sandwich if you’re in Belmont Center.

A newly opened cafe in Belmont is good news! The place is full of light with panoramic windows, the seating and zoning is great (4 bar stools, 3 small tables for 2, 4 tables with a bench and a few tables with couches). The staff is friendly. Free WiFi. A variety of snacks both sweet and savory.

The coffee isn’t best though unfortunately. It’s too bitter and overroasted to my taste and you will not see a lovely pattern on top of your drink like you do at Intelligentsia or George Howell, or Thinking Cup. An egg and bacon croissant sandwich turned to be on a bun instead of a light and flaky croissant.
