First time in a long time for this long standing restaurant. Take out was just excellent. Yes, I did have old fashioned american-chinese ( once in a while that hits the spot ) and it did. Hot and Sour, Moo shu duck ( great ), ribs ( great ) ….and yes, old fashioned egg roll…really well done…will opt for their Cantonese and or Hunan etc food ..suspect just as good.

Today was takeout for a special celebration. I have not had Peking duck in probably 12 years and decided to make it part of the celebration. Along with baby bok choy (this is the only place I know that has it and it’s always wonderful) as well as some shumai. Christine was incredibly helpful and even offered to bring everything out to my car when I told her I needed things in bags since I was using a cane. She told me exactly when to show up and everything was wonderful.

I come to butterfly for the phenomenal karaoke. Thursday thru Saturday night. It’s a small space, quaint, but especially Saturday it gets wild. There are amazing singers and the crowd is there for music and to support their fellow “musicians” . I come for the music. I enjoy the people watching and fun interactions, the service and the bartenders are good. There’s plenty of parking. The food is good too. I’ve heard this place has been around forever. Highly recommended.

Great dine in experience with generous portions and fresh tasting food. A nice option when you want to enjoy good food in town that is not takeout. Really reasonable lunch prices and lunch specials come with a choice of soups.

The 2nd worst Valentine’s dinner experience in 42 years! Waited 1/2 hr with a reservation. Had to ask for a waitress after another 45 mins just to get a drink. The food, when it finally came was cold. Apparently our waitress was working a large party on the other side of the restaurant and we were her only table in the main dining room. Waited another 15mins for duck sauce then finally got up & went to the desk to settle the bill. Our waitress must have thought we were going to ditch because she came running up to us from serving the other party saying, “I’m right here. It took me so long because we ran out of duck sauce”. I called BS, telling her we saw her waiting on the other side.

Host was welcoming. Server, not so much: he didn’t give eye contact nor greeting. I had questions about the menu, instead of him explaining, he just started pointing. I gave him my order and he nodded as to him understanding my order yet once he got to the host station he turned around and repeated an incorrect order to me.
Upon bringing out my order, instead of allowing me to move the finished appetizer out of my way, he just placed my meal down and walked off. Meanwhile another patron sitting in back of me got greeted, and told “enjoy your meal” as their food was served.
The food was prepared in a timely manner, and absolutely DELICIOUS ! I highly recommend the Lemon Chicken with Pork Fried Rice. I will not be returning as a dine-in patron, yet I will try and review other dishes from this establishment as pick-up or delivery.
