Nice staff, nice location, food was ok but I’d say a bit expensive. The cafe is inside the main entrance of tranquility bay resort. We stayed at the hotel and dined here one night we were not super hungry. Everything was cordial and nice… not amazing. Not bad. Just a decent experience. YEMV.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was delicious and fresh, and Gabby made the experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and clearly very experienced in hospitality, making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Thank you, Gabby, for your excellent service!

A very enjoyable, and expensive, dinner. The dining room is prettier and cozier than the pics. We started with the beet salad, which is nothing extravagant but still well done, even if the beet was chopped a little too small. I had the Yellowtail Francaise which was a generous portion with a very flavorful lemon caper sauce that complimented versus overwhelming the fish. My partner had the Seafood Pasta which had a good amount of shrimp and fish in a tomato sauce that also complimented without overwhelming. Red wine by the glass options are limited but the two we had – Malbec and Tuscan cabernet – were very good. I was concerned we’d feel like we paid too much and got too little, but it turned out to be an enjoyable splurge.

I have been to this restaurant many times in the past, although not for many years. This last trip there sadly was beyond disappointing. We go here for two things: fresh fish and homemade key lime pie, both were not available on our visit. The only exceptional highlight were the alcohol drinks.
Unfortunately this will be our last trip there. Try somewhere else for quality dining at this price point.

Drove to the Butterfly Cafe while staying at another resort down the road. Food and drinks were really incredible, especially the seafood pasta & filet. Our server was lovely & overall the outdoor ambiance was exactly what you are looking for from a patio meal at a resort.

Absolutely amazing dinner. Our server, Jannet, was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. My wife and I stopped in on the tail end of our trip for a date night and we couldn’t be happier. All of the food was amazing, the wine was fantastic, and we would 1000% come here again. Amazing!

What a beautiful birthday dinner! Butterfly Cafe has such a calm atmosphere, which is why I was shocked a table of 8ish people were acting so obnoxious! They definitely had a few drinks before coming, and proceeded to laugh/scream so loudly through our whole meal. The entire restaurant was turning to look at them. Very rude, but didn’t let it ruin our evening! I had the risotto and it was the most delicious dish I have ever eaten!

We booked the Valentine’s Day special through an email from the on campus resort. The ad was $125 / person 3 course meal with $5 wine.
We were seated near the back of the porch and away from the nighttime ambience, and we also heard the kitchen / wait staff talking badly about other customers. Our waitress was very nice, but the food was only decent for the price – $360 dollars.
2 appetizers, 2 pasta dishes, and 2 of their mini cake dessert servings – about 2 times more expensive than was justified. We were charged for our waters, charged 20 dollars for the 1 glass of what we presumed to be $5 dollar wine, and automatically charged for tip.
It was a very nice setting and nice dinner, just obscenely expensive for a corner table with okay food.

We had such a great experience tonight for our son’s birthday. The food, drinks, and service were all exceptional! They brought out Key Lime Pie for his birthday treat and it was AMAZING. Highly recommend!!

The service was probably the best part. Hostess, waitress and SA’s were all very sweet and attentive. The food wasn’t anything crazy, don’t get me wrong it was good but nothing special. A flower is not necessary on every dish. The atmosphere was good but it is at a hotel so expect lots of foot traffic and children. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience go to Pierre’s, Ziggie & Mad Dogg’s, Chef Michael’s; you might spend less money too. Total ticket was $227 for 2 people.
