The atmosphere the staff top notch along with my cappuccino and regular black coffee. I will not take away from that.
I bought 4 pastries.
The pistachio with cream bun looking item.
It was my favourite of the four and id give it 4/5.
The honey comb peach in my opinion should not have almond in it for it takes away from the taste of the peach and pastry tasted synthetic. 1/5
The banana monkey bread looking pastry was okay minus almond once again, gave it a THC taste and felt like im eating and edible. 1/5
Last but not least the triple chocolate croissant was okay, too sweet for me and im a chocolate fan. 3/5
Overall this is my review , not to take away from your or anyone elses experience. Location, atmosphere, staff and everything looks so great. Just not for me.
I still give it 5 stars for it is worth a try. Goodluck
At reasonable prices , salads , specially breakfast and lunch items of the quality made and freshness I remember and cherish growing up, specialty smoothies and heavenly coffees are there to provide a country bakery experience with freshness from all the ingredients .
An important part of the mix are the yummy and
fresh assortment of anyquality French , Italian and old fashioned American baked goods including pastries you could find in Paris , all at reasonable prices .
The bakery restaurant is spotless and its available dining area is cozy and inviting to spend time making your experience there a real treat .
The staff are all lovers of what they prepare and sell and are knowledgeable about the ingredients and taste experiences of their offering . Take out orders are also provided in the same honey and warm manner . Parking and location is very convenient.
For years, my friend has been ordering cakes from this bakery to be delivered to his friends and acquaintances on their birthdays. On my birthday this year, he once again had a cake delivered from this bakery. Despite being in extremely poor health and even visiting the emergency room that same week, he still remembered my birthday and made sure a cake was sent to me.
However, when I opened the box that evening for my birthday party, I was shocked to discover severe mold growing on the fruits covering the cake. I didn’t want to tarnish the reputation of a bakery I’ve loved for years, so I quietly reached out through email and Instagram, hoping for a resolution. After receiving no response, I called the store directly.
They told me that the person who made the purchase needed to contact them, so I—very reluctantly and feeling terribly sorry—had to explain the situation to my friend and send him the photos as evidence. This was emotionally difficult for me.
Even after he contacted them, they refused to offer a refund or any resolution, saying too much time had passed. Eventually, I received an email stating that if I came to the store, they would provide a replacement cake.
But when I traveled a long distance to get there, they denied me again and sent me away empty-handed.
This experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting.
I strongly urge others: If you buy a cake from this bakery, please make sure to check carefully for mold.
This review is for the cafe only … Love the bakery and decided to try the cafe today for a take out order. I’ll keep it short: my tiny $19 salad was mostly cabbage ribs, the bread on my $19 pressed sandwich was burnt. I thought this could be a new go-to for sandwiches and salads since my preferred place is right around the same price point, but we did not find the same quality that we enjoy at the bakery. Would have shown a manager had I not taken the food to go.
ORIGINAL:
seems like a copycat of an asian bakery. Should just keep the same style as the queens one.
Service is like can I get you anything? no we’re sold out. Line is disorganized. Wait long and I get skipped over for help cuz I’m not white. I think these guys are overworked and done with their jobs or maybe the ppl they have to help i feel bad.
Pastries fantastic, sandwiches are great. Wish there were more vegan varieties but hey its a pastry shop, so happy there’s some food there as an option
Cakes are great but when ordering one if advance the price doesn’t really match, it lowkey breaks the bank and you can find so many bakers making great quality cakes with beautiful presentation. I think they need to work on their pricing quotas. Not worth it esp if its ur grad, wedding, birthday cake.
Buttercooky has many high caliber offerings from donuts, croissants, tarts, & sandwiches.
How to decide when so many items look so very delicious?
I settled on a broccoli egg croissant tart . Rich & decadent. I wanted another…
Awesome venue with comfortable leather bench seats. Plenty of sunlight radiating through. I can easily sit here for an hour.
Very friendly staff. Nice setup with complimentary self service lemon water.
It’s no wonder they have been in business since 1962. My only gripe is I did not see a price list or tags for the pastries. Did I overlook it?
