So, when we initially walked in, we weren’t sure about what to expect, it doesn’t look like much. But we are so glad we found this place, because the food was delicious, and the owners super friendly. On the menu you have seafood, down home cooking, and some Indian Rice dishes. We ordered Chicken fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Southern Green Beans, and fried Okra. Both were served with homemade cornbread. We couldn’t have been happier with our choices.
Fairly new place, and they need some love. Definitely would Recommend!

We stopped here on the way home from a conference in Cambridge. Super friendly and accommodating staff. We had the 2 piece fried catfish, lamb curry medium spice and side dishes of mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens, vegetable rice, and fried cabbage. All were exceptionally good. Very flavorful. Each item had a wonderful distinct taste. We opted to eat in. A steady stream of customers came for take out while we were there. Great value and generous portions. Worth the trip! We will return!

Awesome place for great plates at a very reasonable price! (Please tip; these people deserve it). I ordered ahead of time but decided to dine in. The employee who served me was friendly and humble and the food was absolutely delicious. I got the chicken curry which comes with white or vegetable rice and pita bread and as my side, I chose mac and cheese. I have heard that the yams are also a very popular side. Just stopped at this place on a whim while traveling and I will definitely be coming back anytime I am coming through the area. Oh, and they had classic soul music playing at an appropriate volume for eating and conversation, which was a nice touch. What a treasure!

After a previous disappointing experience at Butter & Grace and a long hiatus, I decided to give it another try. They weren’t busy at the time and the service was friendly. I ordered oxtails, rice and cabbage and after about 15 minutes it was hot and ready to go.

I really wanted to provide a better review as this restaurant,s cuisine is rare for this area, but unfortunately I just wasn’t impressed with the food. The oxtails were the smallest Ive ever seen or had, yet there was still a fair amount of fat on them. The taste was decent but not overwhelmingly pleasing or delicious. The long grain rice was ok with the oxtail gravy. I was not a fan of the cabbage. It was way to soft for my liking and the flavor was unfamiliar.

This is a popular establishment from the articles that Ive read about it, but I suspect that since there’s virtually no competition in the area for thus type of cuisine, people have settled for what they can get. Just my opinion.

Oh man !!! I am from the south and it’s hard to find good ol southern food. This place hits the nail on the head ! The catfish is superb! Fried okra, Salisbury steak with real mashed potatoes! The cornbread was fresh and moist. The people were so friendly and welcoming. I think we found our new go to place to eat !!!! Thank you !

Located in a little strip mall on route 50 in Cambridge, the interior is vintage (tired) fast food joint. BUT the service is friendly (as were the other lunch customers), and the food is absolutely delicious. We had fried catfish with hush puppies and green beans – all very traditional southern and excellently seasoned and prepared – and butter chicken with veggie rice and a side of fried okra, all of which was excellent as well. The food was very reasonably priced and we came away with leftovers for days, so a great value. We will definitely be back.

The food was good, the building was not. Your food is served in to-go containers, and I highly recommend that you do go; it isn’t a very pleasant place to hang out. I would eat the food again if I were in town, but take it back to the hotel/DoorDash it.

Dined with a party of 4, we tried the oxtail and fish entrees. I wish the there was a little more meat in the oxtail (I see there’s a double… go for that), but it and the mash were just plain old tasty, very yummy gravy. I picked up a side of collards and a side of fried okra, both well-cooked exactly like you’d want it. Really good cornbread.

We did not interact with the curry menu, it seemed a little out of place. The soul food part of the menu is pretty straight-forward, this isn’t “elevated soul food” or anything like that. Just straight up country cooking. Priced reasonably for what it is.

There’s a folding card table in the dining room, and a mismatch of other seating. Possibly one of the grossest bathrooms I’ve ever been in. They would be well-served with a different location, I think this one is beyond salvation.

So glad we checked out Butter and Grace! The food is excellent! They specialize in curry, but we had the fried oysters on our first visit and they were so good, we came back for the fried catfish with sides of cole slaw, fried okra, and fried cabbage. They serve a wonderful, fresh baked cornbread cake with each meal. ❤️ Generous portions! Ambiance is “come as you are.” The vibe is relaxed and comfy as they play iheart radio classic soul from the 60’s and 70’s. We loved it and look forward to our next visit!

All three dishes we ordered – peri peri chicken, chicken fried chicken and fried catfish – were served hot and fresh and cooked perfectly. The sides were likewise excellent with the cornbread being a real standout.
You order at the counter and then wait for your food to be brought out. It’s not fast, but the wait was worth it. The staff is friendly and efficient.
There were tons of takeout meals headed out while we were there for lunch and we couldn’t help but notice that this was about the nicest crowd of restaurant patrons we have ever encountered. Folks wishing us a nice day, talking about the food and just generally being pleasant. It added to the food experience and overshadowed the somewhat uncomfortable chairs bolted to the floor.
