My son and I recently dined at Butta’s Better BBQ, and the experience was exceptional. We went February 21st, we ordered two meals pick up! We went in, it was empty and everything was fine until the young man asked us to tip him. We weren’t dining in we picked it up. If I wanted to tip fine, but I just paid for my food and you want me to pay you for handing me the bag? They lost a customer! I felt hustled into a tip and I wasn’t in the establishment 3 full minutes.

Just finishing an important academic test here in Terre Haute, IN and I decided that before returning home to Indy, I’d find a new place to eat while here. My Google search led me to Butta’s Better BBQ “Home of the Porkalicious Wrap” ! Thank you, Google! Lol!
This family owned establishment has good food ( I kept it “simple”: Pulled pork sandwich with chips, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, corn pudding & banana pudding with a Sprite. Judge your Mama! I am convinced that when I make it to Heaven, it will be revealed that I am a 400-lb voluptuous woman who was graciously housed inside this petite Earth suit I’m currently sporting! I LOVE to eat & I CAN COOK…but, I digress! )
The setting was quaint & inviting. The customer service was wonderful! You all should check them out!
I’ll definitely be back!

Atmosphere is so warm and cozy it feels like home. The people are friendly and the food is like no other. The combination of unique food choices (Mac and cheese, pulled pork, bbq sauce rolled in a burrito) greens, baked beans, coleslaw, corn pudding, banana pudding who could ask for anything more. I like that I could dine in or choose to take home. Quick convenient and I saw the owner preparing the meat on the smoker as I was leaving. Family owned business. I’ll definitely be back.

Being from the south I’ve loved BBQ since a child. Do yourself a favor and skip this experience. The food specifically lacked seasoning the coleslaw was nasty. The juice was not drained making the taco soggy. The worst part is that fly’s ran rampant so much that I could not even attempt to enjoy the food. The owner came out saying everything was made fresh daily. When I got home my banana pudding had brown bananas. How Sway, if it was made fresh?! I’ll never visit this place again.

I was traveling from Indianapolis to IL and we stopped here from lunch. The husband and wife team that own the shop were there to serve us. They were so kind and welcoming, it felt more like eating in someone’s home than a restaurant. I got a quarter slab of ribs with potato salad and greens. (Sorry for the blurry pic, I was in a hurry to eat!!) Everything was DELICIOUS! IF I’m ever in Terre Haute I’ll definitely be back. There was a prayer request box in the dining room – I thought that was so nice! I’m always happy to support a small/family owned business over a chain any day!!

Very good BBQ!!! My girl and I both had the New Orleans pulled pork sandwich, and it was CERTIFIED fantastic!!! The baked beans, and Mac n cheese were phenomenal, also!!! Hats off to the owner/chef at Buttas!!!!
