A great greasy spoon diner on the west side of Erie. They serve solid comfort foods like gravy and biscuits and other breakfast staples. The service is quick and pleasant.
I had a western omelette with cheddar grits and sour dough toast. I also added sausage gravy biscuit because needed that amazing comfort food to start my day.
Overall Butch’s is a solid breakfast choice in a sea chain restaurants.

Our waitress Linda was amazing. Loves her themed bacon and eggs earrings.
It’s a seat yourself place, so we had to wait while someone left and then for the table to get cleaned. Others , we noticed, didn’t follow the general polite way of waiting in line while the tables were cleaned. Appreciate the patriotic theme. We are an Army veteran family and it made us smile.
Our food was very good. Glazed French toast, mini breakfast with a side of sausage gravy & the big breakfast with eggs potatoes and a side of biscuits and gravy. Oh my. The coffee smella delicious but we didn’t have any.
The TV/ music was a little load but tolerable.
Bathroom was out of order, this was problematic.
Thanks for providing a great meal. Highly recommend.

So fresh. Finally found a place in Erie that serves grits, and they had the best crisp hash browns I’ve ever had. So happy.

We had to wait an hour for our breakfast. There were three of us when the place wasn’t that busy. We all ordered a different kind of eggs benedict. One traditional, one with American bacon, and one Philly. Two of them sat in the window long enough for the sauce to create a skin, crack, and be cold. Most of the eggs were overcooked with the yolks either broken or solid, none of the pouring out of the egg that you’d expect from an eggs benedict. The service was not great. The waitress didn’t communicate with us until we were about to walk out because we had been waiting so long. People came in after we ordered and were served before us. A second waitress came to our table, she was polite, but made some excuses as to why we got our food so much later than other people. As a former chef, that’s not how you do business. Tickets are filled in the order they are given, not by preference. We won’t be going back to Butchs. This has happened every time we go. The woman cashing us out wouldn’t even speak to us. She was rather rude. No “hello” after I said hello to her and no “have a nice day” or “we’re sorry for the inconvenience” when I politely said “thank you” for my receipt and card back.

Great food, Great employees. Order on weekend for work and they are always happy when we pick up our orders. If you have not tried this establishment yet, then give it a try.

Nice little restaurant, we stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning, pretty busy, but the staff was very curtious and prompt. Had the Philly Benedict & the classic steak and eggs. Hashbrowns could use more crisp, but other than that, no complaints here!

Went to Butch’s today. Our server was a delightful young lady who kept our coffees full and checked on us often. I had the strawberry cheesecake French toast and got a side of home fries. Everything was delicious. I should have brought some home (I was full) but we hung out, drank coffee, and chatted for sometime (so I was able to finish). We plan to go back.

Do not order water to drink! It’s pretty gross! But the food was OKish, a Lil under cooked, I got the Spinach and Mushroom Eggs Benedict, the spinach was off, definitely not fresh, probably canned spinach, my kid got the biscuits gravy dish, the biscuits were pretty tough and chewy. The place was pretty busy on a Monday morning, with only 2 servers they looked like they were busting their butts,, so service was as good as it could be under the circumstances. The frog statues out front were fun to get pictures with.

Terrible experience- walked in and was told to sit anywhere clean- did that- then was ignored by all servers without getting menus-
Finally get menus – and i then notice the owner/waitress stood by the food scratching her scalp enthusiastically bare handed- then proceeded to not wash her hands and grabbed handfuls of the silverware to refill it- !!!so gross- barf !!!! The state of the floor was disgusting-
The food was OK-
The bus person was great- thats it-
Not worth it at all!
