This place was such a vibe! They had live music playing and delicious food! The lobster roll was amazing. They have outdoor seating, and I noticed the owner brought more chairs out when there wasn’t enough seating for everyone.

Went after a hike in the Aspen area with my dog and was easy to park nearby and good atmosphere. The clams casino are definitely my favorite! Along w the butter lobster roll and clam chowder. Drinks were also pretty strong!

A cute New England vibe in the middle of the mountains. We were seated quickly. The good stops there. I had the Shannon’s Shrimp, which was a very odd dish. They said the shrimp would be lightly battered… there was so much egg batter caked on there, I thought that I was eating scrambled eggs! Very weird. It came with rice, which was very al dente, and a vegetable, which was corn. The corn was juicy, but they almost forgot to bring it. My husband had the fish and chips, and said the fish did not taste fresh. We both had stomach aches later that night, making for a bummer last night of vacation. Skip this one!

I love this place. I was here 2020 and after 3 years I can get the same atmosphere. If you are here you have to order calamari, oysters, lobster roll and bang bang shrimp. Stuff is friendly and thank you for service.

I don’t write reviews often, but man I feel like I got ripped off. $30 for a lobster roll and $25 for a seafood platter with 2 shrimp is not cool. Had to fight the receipt to even get to my food. It tasted fine for fried seafood but is 3x the cost it should be and they charge a service fee to use a card. Servers forgot my order and were struggling behind the bar. Had high hopes for my first visit, but was definitely disappointed.

It’s OK. The fries are pretty good. The fish n chips portion is a good size, but it’s fat from your best choice along the main street.

We had such a great time, and the food was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t get enough of the rock shrimp. It was such a beautiful evening, it will live in my fond memories for a long time. Thanks Butch 🙂

Wow. Absolutely Horrid. The fried fish was extremely rubbery, scallops mushy, and it all took so long to get to us. Waitress was apologetic about the awful cut of fish but we still paid. Three entrees, three drinks: $170 (pre tip). Will never go back.

I ate here a few times this summer. I’d eaten here a lot before it closed years ago and it definitely was just as good as before. For being a restaurant in a landlocked state far from any coastlines who’s main offering is different kinds of seafood, the seafood here is great. Having been all over the east coast many times in the last few years, it reminds me of a seafood shack that you’d expect to find near some other businesses slightly behind where the sandy beaches begin, near a pier where businesses often are found along the beaches in that part of the USA. It’s a classic restaurant in Basalt and I think it will remain so, for as long as it is open. NOTE: This place is only open during the summer so if you try to eat here at a different time of the year , it probably isn’t open.
