I have zero complaints about our first visit.
I asked for a cocktail they didn’t know but i gave them the ingredients and it was perfect.
Fried green tomatoes for an appetizer that were delicious. I ordered the crab stuffed trout special even though I’ve never had trout before. It was so good. Vegetables and rice that came with it were done perfectly too.
My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak. His only comment was that it could have used more cheese but it was good.
We also had the nicest sweetest server. We will return here again and bring family and friends.

Update; food was ice cold, steak was over cooked for everyone, chcken was cold. Only thing hot waa the baked potato a friend had and no condiments served when asked for. Original review is Still waiting on food after an hour and a half as I type this. Everyone around us has gotten their food, including large parties. She asked if we needed to-go boxes or dessert and we hadn’t even gotten our food yet. Not the normal service here. Very disappointing. Step up Butcher Block. Signed… hungry.

Went here with a party of about 20 on a Thursday evening. We had reservations, wait time was about 10 min. Not bad at all, the only down side to dining in the back was it was uncomfortably hot. The doors to the patio were open and it was like 90 outside.
The service was decent for that many people, she was a bit overwhelmed, but seemed to recover pretty quickly. I think with experience and time she will get better with bigger parties.
I got the 4oz Burger and sweet potato fries, and it was decent. Lacking. On flavor a bit but overall good quality meat.
Kids got sliders and steak bites and both gave them 10/10.
Also got the salmon with baked Mac and cheese, salmon was phenomenal, but the Mac and cheese was really dry.

Early dinner, dine in. Fast friendly service. Restaurant was nearly packed full, lots of customers moving in and out. Sufficient parking even when nearly at capacity.

For appetizers we got the jalapeño poppers and the sweet potato fries. Jalapeño poppers were good and came out hot. Sweet potato fries were served hot and they were satisfying. Dip for the fries wasn’t butter, but it was good.

For entrees we got the prime rib, taco pizza, and full rack of ribs.

Prime rib – ordered it with the fresh horseradish. Horseradish was good and packed a nice amount of heat. Au jus was good, complimenting the prime rib. Ordered the prime rib medium rare, it was closer to medium well; still very good.

Taco pizza – good flavors, crust was extremely good. Components all tasted and appeared to be above the norm for places that serve pizza. Best pizza in Jackson County without a doubt (we’ve tasted the rest, this is better by far). The pizza was our favorite item we had while dining here.

Rack of ribs – decent, not as tender as other local options. Sauce and seasoning were similar to other local options. Recommend going full rack and having leftovers, small 5 dollar difference between half and full rack.

Sides – mashed potatoes were decent, not great or bad. Coleslaw was not our thing, we thought there was only two ways to make coleslaw (vinegar and sweet) and discovered there’s at least a third… I believe there was sweet gherkin sauce or gherkins in the coleslaw. Definitely different. Good chance some will love their manner of preparation. Baked sweet potato was good, served hot with ample butter to place on the potato. Fresh local vegetables were good, squash did have a “green” taste. Hard to describe, still good though.

Restaurant was exceptionally clean, tables were cleared and cleaned quickly after customers departed. Some minor goofs, all likely to be remedied after the restaurant has been around more than a week; nothing concerning.

Crab cake is truly a “Maryland style” crabcake meaning minimal breading and broiled to perfection. Definitely my go to place for this delicious dish. The squash zucchini and peppers were steamed and seasoned just right. Mash potatoes were buttery and clumpy just like I like them. Definitely coming back for more. The service was Fantastic!! Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. They even do military discount.

My daughter got the pretzel burger which was clutch. She finished it and said it was fresh and one of the best burgers she ever had.

We started out calling a few days ahead to make reservations for a family of 7. With celebrating two of them having birthdays this month (January) we wanted some really good steaks mainly Ribeyes. So I call ahead to ask questions about the steaks and make sure they would have plenty. They said they would. But sickness hit some so we cancelled the get together. So I call the day we are supposed to have the reservation, tell them we decided to try it out but there would only be 3 of us. But I was told at that time they were having trouble getting their steaks.
And there was only 4 steaks but there was only one of the 4 (they only had 1 New York Strip left). We decided to go and try out the steaks they had. The steak weren’t bad but not what we were hoping for; food was decent otherwise. The atmosphere was good. It wasn’t real crowded. They took us straight to our seat with no waiting. The waitress was sweet but seemed very new. All in all it was good. But I’m glad we didn’t take the family because of the situation with the steaks (That’s what everyone was wanting). So we would rate it three and a half Stars all together. But very thankful for the Butcher Block and that we have a decent restaurant to go to; not so far away! Thanks Butcher Block!

What a great place! The staff are all friendly and helpful. I was seated quickly and given menus. The food… so good! The mac & cheese was wonderfully cheesy. My steak was cooked just right. Dessert was beautiful and delicious. Lindsay did a great job making sure I didn’t have to wait for anything without ever making me feel rushed. I didn’t catch if it was the chef or owner who came out and talked with me, but he was great too. They are working hard to get set up with a real farm to table experience and it shows. The beef is locally sourced and the flavor is unmatched. They also have an outdoor seating area that will be amazing once it warms up a bit.

I don’t live in the area and this place was referred to me. I ordered taco pizza and mild buffalo wings. The pizza was delicious and the wings were some of the best I’ve ever had. Honestly they were so good I ordered some to go. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.
