Picture an ‘80s college bar vibe… smells and all. Right, it makes you take pause.

I am wondering how this place is rated so highly. Keep reading so you know exactly what you’re walking in to.

Charcuterie Board – 6/10
Came with cellophane‑wrapped saltines and… a bagel. Yes, a lightly toasted bagel.
The rest of the board was fresh and tasty, but the carbs were giving “wait, what?”

Brussels – 7/10
Deep fried and a bit greasy. Reheating the leftovers made the old fryer oil flavor very noticeable. Yuck.

Grilled Salmon – 8/10
Shockingly good. Loved the charcoal grill flavor.

Mac & Cheese w/ Brisket – 6/10
Meh. That’s it. Just meh.

Don’t forget to ❤️ and look at my other reviews for other tasty spots to try.

Amazing Food and a Karaoke Blast! A Must-Visit!
What an incredible night! I started my evening at Buster’s Bistro for dinner and ordered the shepherd’s pie, and it was truly amazing. The beef was packed with so much flavor, it was incredibly rich and delicious. It perfectly offset the mashed potatoes, which were just a little light on the salt, but the flavorful beef more than made up for it. Overall, it was a fantastic dish. I finished off my meal with a nice, fresh house salad.
After dinner, I actually left to go salsa dancing at Tuffy’s, but I came right back to Buster’s after Tuffy’s closed, and I’m so glad I did! The night was still going strong with their Saturday karaoke, and it was an absolute blast! The atmosphere was beautiful and so energetic. Everyone was having fun, people were dancing, and the whole place was just amazing.

My niece and I spent the day in Sanford and couldn’t decide where to go for brunch. When it started to sprinkle, we decided to stop at Buster’s Bistro, and I’m so glad we did! The bottomless mimosas were a much better deal than ordering by the glass—and they were delicious.

I ordered the Croque Monsieur, an open-faced sandwich piled high with ham and Swiss, topped with a creamy Mornay sauce. It was absolutely delicious! My niece had the sugar waffles and chicken, which she also loved.

I also ordered a Bistro Burger (medium well) to go for my husband, and he said it was cooked to perfection. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion, house pickles, American cheese, and garlic aioli on a brioche bun, served with home fries.

All in all, Buster’s was a great find on a rainy day—delicious food, good vibes, and excellent drinks. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent service. The wings are fantastic, very meaty. My wife had mac and cheese with pulled pork. It was delicious. They have a great selection of imported beers. Mine was a dark Belgion beer.

We arrived late on a Thursday, after 9pm. There aren’t many places still serving food that late on a weeknight in Sanford, so Buster’s immediately earns points for that.

The place was kind of quiet when we walked in, with just a few people at the bar. It’s dark inside, worn-in and full of character, with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and Guinness banners that give it a slightly old-world European pub feel. The music was what you’d expect for a late-night spot.

They have an impressive list of European beers on tap, plus even more available by the bottle and can. We went with the BRLO German IPA (7% ABV) which was crisp and hoppy with a piney aroma, citrus notes, and a clean, slightly bitter finish that paired perfectly with the food. They also have cocktails and rotating limited-edition drafts.

From the late-night menu, I ordered the BBQ Pork Sandwich, made with house-smoked pork and topped with crispy fried onions on a brioche bun. The pork was tender, juicy, and lean, with a sweet and tangy sauce. The fries are the best fries in town: thick-cut, crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and clearly made from real potatoes. I upgraded to truffle frites which isn’t necessary because they’re great on their own, but the addition of aioli and grated Parmesan made them even more indulgent.

My wife ordered a grilled cheese, which is listed as an add-on to the tomato bisque. She skipped the soup but enjoyed the sandwich. She mentioned it would have been even better with a different cheese choice or a few pickle slices in the sandwich for contrast, though that’s a personal preference.

We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Overall, this is exactly the kind of place you want for a laid-back late-night bite. Recommended.

Really good fries! Ate them almost half of them before the picture. Roast beef sandwich was just what I imagine. They do not skim on the meat! Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Sanford. The service was amazing as well very attentive.

I am glad I tried this place. First of all, they have my absolute favorite beer, which is hard to find – St. Bernardas Apt 12. I had a grilled chicken ceasar and it was delicious and enough to satisfy me. The wings that others had smelled great and made me want some. I plan on going back at some point and I do recommend it if you like small venues that feel “homey”.

Stopped here for lunch. The waitress was awesome- friendly and accommodating. I had the Pear Cider on tap. We shared beef tips, a Rueben, and fries. Everything was excellent! 70’s music playing in the background.

I visited Buster’s on karaoke night, and while the atmosphere was entertaining, my experience was marred by a couple of issues. I ordered the bistro wings from the late-night menu, and although they were tasty, they were all drums and no flats, which was a letdown. The bigger issue came when I got the bill: the menu clearly listed the wings at $15, but I was charged $19. When I addressed this with Cassandra the bartender, I was told the menu hadn’t been updated, and no effort was made to correct the price or offer any compensation. It would have been basic courtesy to inform me of the price difference upfront so I could make an informed choice. Overall, I left quite disappointed.
I will not return.

Stopped by here for a drink. They had so many options of beer on tap. Unfortunately didn’t have my first choice of their exclusive busters blonde ale. They serve some late-night bites. Their menu looked great. Would return
