My travels took me north—well, more north than I usually go because I don’t need to go there much. But a colleague said the best burgers were here at Bus so I had to try them. So on a cool spring Friday night, I finally made it, and the place did not disappoint. The burgers, of which I had the Bacon Sourdough Swiss Supreme, is exactly what it sounds like: two pieces of sourdough toast, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, two smash patties, and bacon. An absolutely tasty burger, my friend, who I dragged with me, had the mushroom Swiss, and judging by the noise made while enjoying the burger and being told that was an awesome burger, leads me to believe it was also tasty. I also got a small basket of fries, which were good, but a best fries debate is not something I am looking forward to having. Overall, it was a great burger, and I would recommend checking this place out if you ever find your way around one.

I ordered through Doordash. They burger I ordered was supposed to have egg on it. Apparently they were out but when I called the store to speak to someone the call when straight to voicemail. Then an automated voice said they hadn’t set up the voicemail. What kind of restaurant runs out of eggs? And then still proceeds to sell the item at full cost!? If you have supply issues then take the items off the menu that offer it and quit scamming people.

I had order burgers here several times and they were great. BUT not today. One of the worst hamburger I have ever eaten. It was so dry a horse would have choked on it. It was not very hot, the patties were too thick for a smash burger, only had a sliver of raw onion on it after I requested grilled onions, pickle,
and mustard, so salty I couldn’t even taste the meat. Called to complain no answer and voicemail not setup. I probably should have stayed with Mackie D’s2 for 5. So sad another treasure of STL has fallen ☹️

If you want a home style burger fast, this is the place to go. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger and the sweet potato fries. The mushroom burger tastes pretty much like you would make at home minus your unique secret spices. But the sweet potato fries impressed. Crispy, flavored well, not too sweet and not too salty. The price is a little high for what you get so go there for a cheat day meal, or if you want to get away from the big franchises.
