I had family visiting from Maryland & they wanted to go to the Bush’s Kountry Cafe. This was my first time going to this cafe. The atmosphere was great I just love the jazz music, it brought back memories from California. Everyone was courteous, & friendly the food wasn’t bad. My family had the Shrimp Po-Boy, The Catfish Po-Boy, Smothered Hamburger Steak with Mac & Cheese, Fried Chicken with green beans & cabbage. Everyone enjoyed themselves, the prices were reasonable. There’s only 1 suggestion (bring everyone at that tablet or in that party their food at the same time, & not 1 by 1). We will go back.

Stopped here briefly to use the washroom and get something to go. This was the best cornbread I have tasted in the South. Its made in a skillet and was warm and crispy on the outisde. Wish had more time to have a full meal. Staff were very friendly.

We stopped here on our way back from New Orleans. We had a delicious lunch of meatloaf, fried green beans, mashed potatoes and cornbread.

Stop by here after my mother’s funeral. Great LIVE music and time as we celebrated her homecoming and it happened to be the owners mother’s celebration too.

I was visiting “Rev Sammie” and after his daughter’s homegoing, we went there… Awesome! Was my Grannie in the kitchen?? We waited without a reservation. It was very much worth the wait! On my way back down from KC. Can’t wait to hit it another Friday nite! God Bless!!

This restaurant is one of the best I have been to. A live band on Friday and Saturday night. Food is amazing with a large portions. The owners are so personable. They are always talking and visiting with customers. I would highly recommend this place. If you are looking for a nice place to kick back on a Friday or Saturday night, this is the place.

This was my first time there. The service was poor. I didn’t receive my all of my food, and when I asked about it, I was told it would be a long time before it would be finished cooking ( the corn bread). The waitress kelp walking past me, and never checked on me. I had to ask several times for a refill.
