Bus Stop Diner: A Friendly Stop with Tasty Food
The Bus Stop Diner offers a clean and organized environment, making for a pleasant visit. We were particularly impressed by Enett, who was exceptionally friendly, polite, and professional – truly a highlight of the experience.
While the non-functioning AC was a slight disappointment, it didn’t overshadow the quality of the meal. The food was a standout: tasty, hot, and fresh. We’ll definitely be coming back to enjoy more of their delicious offerings!

Diner inside a shopping complex with plenty of parking.
Waitresses are quick and bouncing around from table to table, however the seemingly lack of organization creates a visible downgrade in service. We weren’t served the dry whole wheat toast that came with my corned beef omelette. When I asked for the toast near the end of the meal when I was finally able to get someone’s attention, the whole wheat toast came back very buttery which I had asked for it dry. The corned beef itself was unexpected as they were small cubes and some a little chewy. Our coffee mugs were never refilled.
Food was decent to good. Prices on the menu are different from what was penned on the receipt by the waitress. For instance 2 coffee cups at $1.95 each came out to a total of $5 (bad math) on top of which they added an extra 15% charge on top of the entire total. The AM Quesadilla ($10.95) on the menu (no add ons) became $15 on the handwritten receipt. Besides the bad penmanship where you can hardly understand what is written in the hopes that you likely will not see the upcharges,, there was definitely an upcharge of the meal plus tax upon 2nd additional tax added automatically. I didn’t say anything as I will not be coming back again. You can fool me once but don’t think just because I said nothing, it doesn’t mean your customers don’t notice it.

Quaint little old school type diner in a strip mall. Wouldnt think it would look old school by the outside. My burger was overcooked but it’s not a huge deal for me because its a real burger made with chopped meat not a premade frozen patty. Food is pretty good. Went two days in a row because I was close by. The beef barley soup was good. The cream of spinach was so thick it looked like custard and it was a lil salty. Love that they have lunch specials tho. The soup and half a sandwich is a good deal. Got half a tuna sandwich. Good as tuna goes. I prefer albacore tuna to chunk light but most places don’t use it. Onion rings were delicious. Staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area

My mother and I are from Hamilton, not familiar with the area and we looked this place up on google. The food was delicious, the service by Cynthia was fabulous and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Highly recommend to everyone in the area, thank you so much.

To be fair, I walked into the diner at noon on Memorial Day and it was packed. I asked to sit at a table and the only one available was in from if the cash register by the door. It was a table for 6. I was greeted by the man operating the register. I saw it was busy and didn’t get annoyed until 15 minutes with no one walking up to get my drink order. Register guy(sorry I don’t know who he was or his name) was very apologetic and got me my coffee and a glass of water. It was another 15 minutes before he came back and took my order. Again apologizing for the lack of a waitress for my table.
I ordered the Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Eggs Over easy and bacon. They delivered my food amazingly fast. I’m happy to say. The eggs were Sunnyside up but that’s fine with me. After over a half hour wait, I wasn’t going to complain about a rushed order.
I don’t blame anyone for this service and I don’t think it’s typically this crazy. The pancakes were delicious, the eggs and bacon were good and the coffee was OK. I enjoyed the atmosphere of controlled chaos that is the New Jersey Diner experience. I would definitely eat here again. It’s located in a strip mall and that’s the most Jersey thing of all.

⚠️ Be clear on the contents of your food when ordering on the phone! The menu online does not reflect what they make. I saw the bus stop diner in the shopping center and decided to place an order for pickup. I ordered an Italian Panini. The website had one description and when I received my Panini and bit into it I was unpleasantly surprised. No roasted peppers, onions, pesto, etc. I called and wasn’t even offered anything for the disservice. I’m regretting the fact that I even left a tip!
The Person on the phone just asked me if it had grilled chicken breast. I told her yes grilled chicken breast but also with eggplant… I don’t even see any other Panini listed on their online menu with eggplant!!
Definitely money wasted and poor service recovery.

The food is always good. Especially, their soup. They are amazing. Today, 11/11/24, I had their Cream of Mushroom Soup, which was delicious, with a half of a pastrami sandwich. I only wish that my pastrami had been cooked more. It was still good though.
