Great prices on food. Good and friendly service. I had the chicken fried steak which was good but not the greatest. Sides were nicely proportioned and tasted good as well.

I can’t say enough about Burt’s customer service. We traveled from Ohio to Georgia for our son’s graduation from basic training. After eating Army food for 11 weeks, our son wanted a good steak and some homemade prime rib. Since we were staying at an Airbnb we knew cooking steak and prime rib would be a challenge. We went to the butcher to find some good cuts of steak and were pleasantly surprised to learn that Burt would marinate and cook the meat for a small fee. He seasoned and cooked the steak and prime rib just the way we asked and our son loved it. Burt recommended baked potatoes for one of our meals. He let us pick out potatoes from his stock and he told us how to cook them his way in the microwave, they turned out perfect. He has other sides to choose from and my favorite was the macaroni and cheese, but the steamed vegetables were good too.
This place reminds me of the authentic butcher shop I used to go to with my Mom when I was a kid. I wish we had a place like this near us here in Ohio. So Burt if you are reading this, we have a perfect place for you to set up shop!

Very impressed with quality and service. You truly can’t beat the quality of the meat, and the price was similar to the grocery store but much fresher. The butcher was also very friendly and the service was excellent. I’ll be back! Thank you for a great experience. 5/5.

I grew up in colga but now I live is South Dakota. Came home for Christmas and was looking forward to eating at my favorite restaurant in the world…. They turned me and my family away because they hadn’t had enough business during the day and were closing early.

I usually don’t leave a 1 star but this place gets it. We came in today July 19, 2025 for dinner. No one in line except us. Guy behind counter said “someone will be right with yall.” Only 1 table had ppl and they were done eating. Waited 15 mins, a few more ppl came in and they were told “sit wherever you want”, and walked right past us! Very rude and unprofessional! We walked right out. (Also smelled like a deer processer.)

Fantastic meat shop with restaurant attached. I didnt eat there today, but had 4 beautiful ribeyes sliced for me. Ill definitely be back to stock up and eat in the restaurant. They also do catering! Thank you!!

I used to go here for years. But I guess the good cooks left and the quality control went downhill. I got a moldy steak for the third time and they wanted to argue with me and say that it was fresh. I know what it tasted like and I used to eat there a lot of times a year. But not anymore. Ruined my whole shift at work because I have nothing to eat now. I would just spend your money somewhere else. Fresh market and Publix have better steaks than these people. Heck, a Mexican steak from Piggly Wiggly would taste better than this. And then they had the nerve to raise their prices even more.
