From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and accommodated. Their gluten-free menu wasn’t just an afterthought—it was extensive, thoughtfully crafted, and genuinely exciting. In fact, the options were so tempting that my dining companion, who doesn’t have any dietary restrictions, chose to order from the gluten-free menu too—and she absolutely loved it.
Our server Brittany was an absolute delight—attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. The manager on duty also went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless and special.
We ordered the steak frites and the chicken Milanese Alfredo—both dishes were executed perfectly and full of flavor. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we were treated to a complimentary slice of their seven-layer chocolate cake, which (yes!) was gluten-free and absolutely scrumptious.
If you’re looking for a place that offers elegance, excellent service, and truly inclusive menu options, Burtons is a must-visit. I’m already planning to return—and next time, I’m bringing friends and family with me!
A Hidden Gem in Buckhead – Ask for Nyasia!
We are so disappointed we didn’t find Burton’s Grill and Bar sooner—this place is an absolute hotspot just waiting to be discovered! Located at 3330 Piedmont Rd NE, Burton’s combines incredible food, a stylish yet comfortable atmosphere, and absolutely top-notch service.
Our server (and bartender!) Nyasia was over-the-top amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and so accommodating. We trusted her completely and asked her to choose our entire meal, from appetizers to entrees to cocktails—and she nailed it.
We started with the Firecracker Shrimp and the Bread Platter featuring pesto, olive tapenade, and seasoned butter. The flavors were bold, fresh, and addictive. For cocktails, we had the Blueberry Hibiscus Squeeze, Stowaway, and the Basil Bourbon Smash with Strawberry Purée—all beautifully crafted and deliciously unique.
Dinner was the Chicken Milanese Alfredo and the Caesar Salad with Chicken—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We topped it all off with the Multi-Layer Chocolate Cake, and wow…decadent doesn’t even begin to describe it.
The vibe in the restaurant was lively and warm, with beautiful decor that adds to the experience. Whether you’re a local or visiting Atlanta, Burton’s is a must-visit. And if you can, ask for Nyasia—she truly elevated our entire evening.
Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back.
Upon arrival, our party of six was seated promptly. Unfortunately, from the first round of beverages, the experience began to unravel. While most drinks arrived in a timely manner, my youngest son’s strawberry lemonade was notably delayed by approximately 15 minutes. This seemingly minor lapse foreshadowed a series of service and kitchen missteps that left the entire table frustrated and disappointed.
To begin, my father ordered calamari, but was mistakenly served fried cauliflower instead. The server’s initial reluctance to acknowledge the mix-up, and the suggestion that we simply keep the incorrect dish, felt dismissive. The correct appetizer eventually arrived, but the confusion had already set the tone.
Further complications followed: both my husband and son ordered the Short Rib Sandwich, yet their plates arrived 10 minutes apart, with the two dishes displaying strikingly different presentations. My husband’s sandwich was overcooked, almost burnt, while our son’s was golden brown and prepared with more care. That inconsistency in execution was baffling for what should have been identical orders.
My own meal was no exception to the confusion. As a vegan, I ordered the Superfood Salad without feta. The salad arrived covered in cheese and had to be returned. Meanwhile, all of our fries were served cold and hard, a basic oversight we chose not to address, simply due to the already extended delay in receiving our entrées.
To the kitchen’s credit, some dishes were well-received: the She Crab Soup earned high remarks from those who ordered it. The lobster roll, crab-crusted haddock, and short rib entrée with Brussels sprouts were also noted as highlights.
However, when the bill arrived, the cauliflower dish, despite having been sent back was still included and later removed. Additionally, upon arriving home, we discovered that our takeout items had been placed in the wrong bags and given to the incorrect person, adding further confusion to an already disorganized dining experience.
Perhaps most disappointing was the lack of follow-up. I called the restaurant to share our concerns and allow for a constructive conversation, but received no response. That lack of acknowledgment prompted me to leave this review.
In summary, while Burton shows promise in terms of menu inclusivity and atmosphere, the service execution during our visit was deeply flawed. The mishandled orders, lack of communication, and absence of accountability left an unfortunate impression. Regrettably, this first experience did not live up to the potential we saw online.
