Burtons Cafe never disappoints hands down one of my favorite places to eat! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and the pies are to die for! Seriously some of the best I’ve had anywhere. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

Beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. The waitress was very nice and the kitchen did an amazing job I had catfish, baked beans, and coleslaw, hush puppies. Delicious and fast service.

The burgers are pretty good. We had a new waitress on her first day, but she was pro, like she’d been there for years. They’re very proud of their white pie, so I thought I’d try a slice. It was better than good – it was great.
Burtons is a cozy dine-in country-style restaurant, perfect for a casual stop with family or a business chat.

We were camping nearby and ended up here by chance, the parking lot was full which is always a good sign so we thought why not? What a find! Everything was top notch. The service was great with no fanfare, and the catfish was probably the best I’ve had in my life, no kidding. Can’t recommend enough. On

*Update* – We stopped back by 2 weeks later on our way back from vacation, the catfish and all the sides were just as good. For an extra adventure the power went out but the super friendly wait staff powered through and took care of us! Looking for an excuse to get this way again.

Hot fresh food and delectable pies. House special is the white pie and I can see why.
Place was clean and the waitresses so nice.
Will definitely be back!

We were recommended to go here and told it was great food and a mom and pop atmosphere. We walked in a took a table. The you lady that waited our table was rude from word one. We had never been there and felt like everyone else was local. Our waitress brought our food out and one of the items we ordered was wrong- when we told her, she rolled her eyes and got the correct item. That was the last we saw of her- she never asked if we needed drink refills- she never even looked our way. The food was very average and the service was horrible. I left a $5 tip and wish I had not. When we left we got a dirty look from our waitress. Very disappointed- we will not go back

I was in town for business, as a OTR Hotshot trucking owner operator I often end up in different cities and like to try out the local restaurants and dining establishments. I asked the owner of the company I had just delivered some oilfield equipment of any good places to try tonight. He suggested Burton’s Cafe. It was a little drive from where I was at but I was hoping it was worth it. With my Hotshot rig of a dually pickup truck and a 40 ft gooseneck trailer I need at least 65 ft to park and I have to be able to maneuver around. There are not many places you can do this. They had plenty of ample parking. So I went in and the young girls there were very nice and efficient. They were friendly but not overly. That is fine they good at what they did. So I was looking forward to a very unique or good variety of home cooked food and vegetables. Their menu was very basic and simple. That was fine too but I have been hoping for some really good at home cooking vegetables and dishes. They had the obligatory chicken fried steak, catfish but judging from the pictures it was just a couple small pieces. Their daily special was fried chicken and I wish I could have tried that but I’m trying to stay away from fried food because of gallbladder or some kind of stomach issue that doesn’t let me eat too much on the road. So I didn’t see much to order that met my criteria and I ordered the sirloin chop steak. I also ordered a house salad and I asked for blue cheese or balsmic vinegar dressing. They had neither. The child was your basic house salad but it was good and fresh. The mashed potatoes and brown gravy were the best part about the meal. The shops are on steak was a little disappointing it was more like a hamburger patty but it was tasty. The one thing that really did surprise and disappoint was I asked for some rolls, figured a place like this would have some good old home cooked rolls or bread. They told me they only have them on Sundays. Who does that? They advertise how good their pies were so that’s the last minute I caved and asked for a peach pie. Wouldn’t you know they were out LOL. Overall it’s a great little cafe but that’s the one who travels for a living and from the big city of Dallas Texas where there’s 100 choices in any direction you go, I guess I’m not easy to impress. However I’m glad I found them because the experience and the food sure beat the franchise chains in every city.

We stopped in on a Saturday for their White Pie, one of my favorites. Their catfish dinner was the best catfish we’ve ever had with a wonderful , light coating. Loved the choice of sides, not too many places offer pickled beets . I do miss their fried okra they used to have. Servers were welcoming, attentive and friendly. We will be back next time we are in the area.

Small Cafe, home of “white pie, (wonderful, by the way). Also, coconut cream pie is delicious. It’s off the beaten path. But it’s good enough for us to remember it after we stopped by there by accident last May on the way to Florida.

The white pie of course is the main star of the show, but even without it the food is classic comfort food done exactly right. Delicious!
