The good… great food. I had tacos and was very happy with them.
The margarita on the rocks was ok. Not enough alcohol or lime.
The bad… there were probably 5 people that worked there that were talking and eating while only one person served food and made drinks. I literally felt sorry for our server. This is not the first time I’ve been here but today I felt compelled to write a review. The service needs revamping! Maybe some friendly smiles and help from all the workers not just the one!

Update: we’ve been there quite a bit since my first post. Yesterday was my first poor service. A server dropped salsa behind me and didn’t offer a napkin, say sorry etc. It was very obvious it was on me. He looked right at my bag. It got all over my leather purse, the back of my shirt and hair. I really love this restaurant, but that was a very poor experience. We actually paid for the next two tables beside us and we still tipped him very well despite that.
My server was wonderful though.
Quesabirria was great, massive to go cups and not overpriced. The charro beans reminded me of how it was growing up! Atmosphere is nice and it smells very clean inside.
Queso isn’t free, a small dish was $4, but it’s worth it for two people. Check this place out!

Great food selection. There is something for everyone. The sushi was top notch. Waitress attentive. Will invite friends and return again.

Had a nice lunch today. Birria taco Ala carte and a chili rellano burrito. Both were delicious. Only criticism was the relleno still had all the seeds in it, which messes with the texture and flavor.
Got some hot salsa added to spice it up. Good value for the quality. Service was excellent.

I’ve only eaten here twice, and both times through DoorDash. They have quite a good flavor profile for the two dishes I’ve tried, the burrito, burrito bowl and the chicken tortilla soup. The soup was flavorful, but the disappointment comes with the rest of the meal. They WILL skimp you on meat. Which is ridiculous when the menu is pricy. I’ve heard they serve fair portions inside the actual establishment but when using outside third party services they tend to give very little meat. I essentially paid nearly $20 for a veggie burrito. Criminal in a small town and that won’t keep you in business long so here’s to hoping they quit cheating the customer because honestly the taste is there but charge far too much for meals to be primarily veggie based.

My husband and I are huge foodies and I am so sad that we had not tried this place sooner!!! Their food was DELICIOUS!!!! Seriously best Mexican food I have had in a very long time, everything was so soo delicious. The service here is impeccable as well, such great people! And the art on the tables and walls was so beautiful! ❤️

Really good food. The Tex-Mex guacamole was delicious. I had a version of pork chili Verde that was delicious.
It was a little warm in the restaurant, kind of made it uncomfortable especially when you crunch into a jalapeno pepper.

Our new favorite sit down spot in Elgin. Food is great, drinks are even better. I highly recommend the chili relleno burrito, the cheese fries, or the vegetarian burrito.

I called in and orders steak fajitas and got chicken. By the time I had gotten home a realized it was wrong they were closed! I called still just incase they still answered and they did! They were very professional and offered to remake the food. Not only did they remake it they were very quick and kind! Food is amazing and will absolutely be returning!
