I love getting burrito bowls here! Usually my boyfriend picks up, but he says that the guy who is always working there (possibly the owner) is always so kind and friendly. The veggies are always super fresh and the servings are generous! This has become one of our regular spots since moving to Ipswich 🙂

So I came here on my lunch break, it reminded me of some place in RI called Bajas. They have like their own version of “fast food” I ordered a steak and cheese quesadilla, I expected it to be a little bigger than what it was but for the price I would say it wasnt too bad. I am a Taco/ Mexican food lover. I would say out of anything the food was descent but it lacked flavor other than that it was good. Also I tried to call in advance I guess something was wrong with their phones. But then when I got there the phone was suddenly working.

The smallest tacos I’ve ever had. I ordered two pork tacos, and they served me two tiny corn tortillas with three small pieces of pork on each taco. I consider it overpriced for the portion of food you get.

My recent visit to Spice Burrito was truly exceptional. Nicolás Dolores provided impeccable service—attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable. The ambiance was vibrant, the guacamole and tacos were delicious highlights, and the churros with cajeta were absolutely divine. The overall experience was unforgettable. Highly recommend!

This place has become a disaster. It used to be one of my favorite places in town, and I was going twice a week. Now, I really can’t make sense of going back.
They are frequently out of main food items, they dump a ton of excess liquid into the bowls, they skimp on certain items, the main lady who works the register is usually moody and rude. The building of their bowls and burritos have become awful.
The pricing is also sporadic, even for the same things. They always rush past the details screen that would show what they added for extras pricing, and jump to where only the total due is visible. Seemingly hoping that you don’t notice.
Today was the most extreme. The lady at the register tried to charge me $4.00 for adding sour cream, when the menu states it’s $0.49 extra. In no world would it ever be $4.00, but perhaps they have some issues and scamming their regular customers is their best solution.
I’m not sure why it is so difficult in there these days, but I’m truly sad about this outcome. Ipswich wants a good burrito place. They have so many problems they need to fix right now. It’s too far gone.
I can only hope for a change in management in the future.

I drove to Ipswich just to visit the Crane Estate but Burrito Spice made me want to do the hour and a half drive just to eat here again. The service is top tier amazing, everyone was super friendly. I ordered the Quesabirra Tacos and I’ve never left so happy. Ipswich, you are a lucky town!!

I am not sure why I keep giving this place chances. I guess I hope it will get better but this will be the last trip. Professional photos on this listing are not what you get. Quesadilla is like a burrito, bad burrito at that. Wrapped in foil and soggy and all mixed together. At least put it in a container and fold it. It just doesn’t seem like it’s put together with care. Disappointing.
