In June 1998, the Herrera family embarked on a 23-year journey with great goals and great expectations. As a company and family, it prospered and expanded to serve Tinley Park, Illinois in 2001 and Alsip, Illinois in 2003. I used to LOVE this place and would go at least 2-3 a week. A couple months ago, my mother in law got sick so we stopped going. Recently, we decided to go back and give them the benefit of the doubt. Although the tacos were delicious, I got home and saw this on my cake. It’s safe to say, we will likely not be going back. The staff is always friendly, but I just don’t know if I trust the food quality anymore.

Ordered steak tacos from here before and they were good. This time I ordered around 830pm so it was closer to closing, and the steak was hard as a rock and burnt. I also got an elote (corn in the cup) and the corn was very dry and hard. Everything tasted old and was not fresh. I understand if you have to clean a kitchen but when you are still accepting ordering the food should be fresh regardless of the time. Disappointed and won’t be returning.

Terrible experience. Called to place a to go order and was hung up on multiple times and kept getting put on hold. Then after 4 attempts and being on hold over 10 minutes I called back and they said they can help me after sitting on hold for so long. Not the biggest deal but kind of annoying and just figured they were busy. Then They told me the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes, so I show up on time and then had to wait and additional 45 minutes for my to go order that should have been ready, and the most annoying part is the restaurant was EMPTY!! I would be annoyed but would have understood if they actually had any customers, but they did not. Place has gone down hill, it’s unfortunate but won’t be back after this experience.

I have been coming to Burrito Jalisco for decades when we used to live in Orland Park and now making the trip here I actually get a vegetarian option and it’s so good the licuados are great and I love the chips and two different kinds of salsa. I actually love to mix the two flavors of salsa together! I’m reviewing this with my 4-year-old son and they actually told my mother and grandmother I was pregnant with him at Burrito Jalisco
