My friends took me here for the first time. Loved the band! The service was good, they seemed shorthanded due to a birthday going on. The drinks were excellent , but one had to much ice, it was a strawberry daquries. The chicken tenders and home fries were great! People were friendly someone tried to get me to dance, but I didn’t do very well. He didn’t know my ankles were messed up from an auto accident. My balance is not good, especially after a few drinks! I am not much of a drinker anyways!

I am a fan of neighborhood places and dive bars. Burnzies is an excellent combination of the two. We went on a Tuesday night, and it was fabulous. The bartender greeted us when we walked in, and at 5:45, we were the crowd. You know you are in a fun place when they decorate for a holiday. This being October, Holloween was everywhere. The bartender came right over with menus and took our drink requests. The special on Tuesday was a T-bone stake for 13.99. They have a unique special daily and prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays. We ordered the shrimp dinner and a fish sandwich with fries. Our food was up quickly and was delicious. This is a neighborhood place, but everyone was friendly, and our server/bartender was a delight. There was plenty of parking, and the restrooms were immaculate. If you want a new place to try, I highly recommend Burnzies. We will return and cannot wait to see if they decorate for Christmas.

This was our third trip to Burnzie’s. Again, the service was fabulous. They are also now decorated for Christman. We had the Italian Sub and the fish sandwich with waffle and regular fries. The waffle fries were outstanding. Great place!

This was our first visit there. Just so happened to be the evening of a live band. The warm-up of the band was painful loud and hard to converse over. When the band actually started performing the music was better yet still loud for such a small facility. Would definitely consider coming back for food. But if the band were performing we would probably opt to sit outside hoping it would be less loud. Or maybe I’m just too old as they say.

Decided to go off the beaten path to Burnzie’s Old Trail Inn. It was a part of history starting out in 1947 as Old Trail Inn. Then the original owner passed away in 2007 and the new owner moved it to it’s present location on S. Grener Road. This is your old time neighborhood bar. Everyone new everyone else. We had gone in for the Prime Rib special that is listed to start at 4 but the time has been changed to 5. No big deal, decided to go ahead and ordered T-Bone steak with Baked Potato and salad and a roll. The salad was small in my opinion but the French dressing was okay. The baked potato was satisfactory but I was hoping that the skin would have had a little substance to it. Now for the steak, had high hopes for it but yet another let down. It was cooked medium but the steak had a large amount of fat and gristle, making it very tough. Server was nice enough but there are other things to work on here. They do do breakfast all day so maybe that would be the route to take.

Had a great lunch today at Burnzie’s Old Trail. It’s a dive and I like it. A hidden gem. Pictured is their Ocean Fried Perch with hand cut fries and this was awesome! The fish was not over cooked and the fries were amazing. Fresh brewed tea was just right. The service was very good and friendly. Prices are great.
