The food is outstanding, but what really makes this place is the wonderful service. Our waitress made us feel right at home from the start. All her recommendations were spot on and the dishes were flavorful, unexpected and overall really taste. If you like to eat well in a nice atmosphere, and don’t mind spending a little bit more than your typical restaurant, this is the place for you.

The best wine bar restaurant I ever been in this finger lake area. Let’s said this in the winery they never have food or anything you can complement wine. Well if you are food lover this place it’s the best for season food plates or any wine related food. I love the professional chef and the server was the best I think people in this area study go understand the concept of the restaurant service. Food portion was perfect and the wine omg. We stumbled upon this place while visiting the area and made a dinner reservation. We were very impressed with the quality of food & presentation. The menu offered great variety and the food was fresh. The service was very friendly and personable. Our server, Hannah & the chef were very accommodating of gluten & dairy allergies and were willing to make changes to the menu accordingly.

Love this place!! Our group had dinner here and everyone enjoyed it from the hospitality, to the drinks and most importantly the food. Offers a different style of cuisine you’ll find in small towns like Penn Yan. Decor and ambience is pleasant giving you a feeling of warmth.
I even dropped by the second night alone to have drinks at the bar and that has an amazing experience. The bartender was the best. He had me tasted some of NY fine white wine before I made my choices. Then came the highlight which was the Smokey Old Fashion. From the preparation to the drink itself was nothing less than perfect!!
I’ll for sure drop by again if in town and will also recommend to friends.

After several so-so meals in the Penn Yan area, we stumbled upon The Burnt Rose (at the suggestion of the hostess at the sister restaurant, 18th Amendment, which was full). We had several appetizers plus our meals and everything was fabulous! Service, atmosphere and especially the food! Highly recommend!

You have to check out this new hot spot on Main Street in Penn Yan! They opened on 7/16 and the service, menu, and atmosphere is delightful!
The owners and the staff are super welcoming and you can tell they love what they do.
They offer a wide variety of wine and beer, as well as champagne. I could have ordered the entire menu…so yummy!

I was always wanting to stop and visit this place. They have a very extensive selection of local Finger Lake lines as you would expect. The menu looked very interesting but I was just having wine, not food. The kitchen did seem quite busy and very many people were eating. Great decor. Very friendly staff.

Drinks were mostly good. Had a wine that tasted like vinegar, so it’s likely the bottle was old. But they didn’t charge us for it. Food was very good. Small plates. We got an assortment to share. The flatbread were our favorite.

Lots of great choices on this menu. I finally decided on the seared salmon with topped with roasted corn & smoked red pepper chimichurri. The fish was fresh, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My wife had the lobster & mascarpone ravioli, which was topped with tiny, intensely flavored, spoon tomatoes — also fantastic. We’ll be back!
