Yesterday was my first visit to Burns Park Deli. I found it to be very clean and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a roast beef on a roll. It was the most delicious roast beef sandwich I ever tasted!! The very kind and friendly owner, Doug, explained how they slow cook their own roast beef. It was “melt in your mouth delicious”, so much so that I called the next day to tell him!! And I was inclined to do this review. I don’t live nearby but when I come into the area I will definitely be back! Reading the other reviews, it sounds like they make the best breakfast sandwiches as well. Ill try that next time, because I’ll definitely be back!!

Food was DELICIOUS! They Burns Park Wrap with Hot honey is mind blowing yummy! Must try! The staff & owners are delightful and the place is squeaky clean. Usually deli’s can smell funky or be dirty and that turns anybody off. Location is great being near a busy sports park. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone!

First time there and I got the hungryman hero and boy was I not disappointed. Delicious breakfast sandwich with good quality meats. Fresh coffee! And the service was excellent very kind lady who took my order. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I am not from the area, well I am from Merrick but don’t come this way often, anyway drove by one day, seen the deli and gave it a try, and glad I did, if you ever want a great hero get a chicken ranch hero and a large Iced Tea what a great lunch, absolutely delicious Thank you Burns Park Deli!

Nice to see there are still great delis on Long Island. Service, staff and food are the best I’ve seen in recent years. The sandwich options are phenomenal and like a real deli, they’ll make whatever you want. Super clean and super friendly, you will not be disappointed.

Four days ago I had written a glowing review of this place as during previous visits we were very pleased. This afternoon the wheels fell off the bus.
During the 1PM hour I walked in to notice one person ahead of me ordering and one person waiting to pick up their order. I ordered two simple egg sandwiches and a chicken cutlet on a roll. I asked the counter person three times and very clearly to heat the cutlet and not the bread. “So, you want the chicken warm?” “Yes, please.”
I sat at the little counter to wait for my order. The person who was in front of me in line was served her order and another person who had come in behind me picked up his as well. I waited a while longer and was called to the counter that my order was ready. When I noticed there were two sandwiches on the counter I reminded the clerk that I ordered three sandwiches and went over the order again. He turned to make the missing egg & cheese sandwich. I remain entirely uncertain how the error had occurred but feeling that I had waited long enough, I asked to pay the tab.
Upon returning home with lunch, my wife opened her sandwich to find what can be seen in the accompanying photos. Not to be out done and not as egregious an error, but my chicken cutlet was ice cold, too.
So, I call the store. I explain the situation. The guy on the phone gats all toney. Instead of saying something to the effect of; “Let me send someone right over with a replacement sandwich”, what I got was a condescending ear full of a lesson on how to cook turkey bacon, topped off with; “I’ll mail you a check and you can find another place that can make you happy”. We already have.
But, sadly our lunch was already ruined and $$$ went down the drain.
It’s a shame because the place is so close to home, but as the guy from the phone call, who I believe is (one of?) the owner (s?), already knows from overhearing my wife on the phone, we will not be returning.

Not a fan of Doug the owner but I am a big fan of his food. These guys know there way around a deli. Have ordered multiple items from this deli and it never disappoints. Whether it’s the roast beef, chicken cutlet, chicken salad everything is delicious. If your in the area stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

I was lucky enough to visit the Burns Park deli today with a dear friend.
We got some sandwiches and they were delicious.
They had such a variety of sandwiches, salads, and platters.
Everybody was so awesome especially the owner Doug.
I highly recommend this deli. Everything was fresh and tasty!
