This dish was truly enjoyable from start to finish. It would be even better if the potato came without foil, saving the extra step, plus having the sour cream mixed inside would add more flavor in every bite. Even with those small preferences, the taste was excellent, comforting, satisfying, absolutely delicious.

I was very bothered with this visit. I really had a desire for some BBQ & someone recommended Burn’s BBQ. I had forgotten about them because it had been years since I had visited them. And although they are close to an hour drive away, I really wanted BBQ & I could not honestly recall of my previous experiences were good or bad so I made the trip.
I hate that I do not have anything good to say about the meal. It just was not good. My sandwich was virtually all gristle and fat. My potato wasn’t moist and was pretty skimpy on the meat.

This is one of my first bad reviews and I usually don’t write any but this place was just straight up trash. First off we come and I ask for a baked potato, I politely asked what comes on the baked potato and the cashier was rude and just kept saying everything comes on the side so I paid for extra cheese for both of the potatoes I got. Then I get the potatoes and everything is on them. So I paid for extra cheese for BOTH and it comes on it. Okay boom then, I’m eating the baked potato and it tastes like I’m eating straight air. It has no flavor at all. The barbecue sauce tastes like nothing at all, it’s barely any chopped beef on it, and it’s just nasty. Then as I’m trying to at least make some of it the rude cashier comes and starts cleaning the table in front of me with this water that smelled like bleach. It was just wraps from there never coming here again. If y’all do please don’t get the baked potato

My daughter and I came for Baked potatoes…meat was bland with no flavor….my daughter said it was like eating $34 worth of air. Had high hopes for Burns because we hear so much about it. Charged for cheese because she said it was on the side so we asked for cheese.

In a rough neighborhood and must keep a good eye on vehicles. My sister keys were stolen and her phone.
Other then that I didn’t really experience it just goingnon what my sister said and me having to to take her a spare key. She didn’t even eat because ahe was afraid who ever took them might take off in her vehicle.
She said that her friends though it was great food.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the food I received from your establishment on March 1, 2025. Unfortunately, the take out food I ordered tasted very bad, which was quite surprising given the positive reputation your company has. There were other customers in the line disappointed in the limited menu items available; there were no baked potatoes, brisket or baked beans available. Please take the necessary steps to ensure that the quality of your food meets the high standards that your customers expect.

So my friend and I were traveling back to Houston and wanted a good burger, so I remembered seeing an ad for Burns Burgers, so we decided to go. Well, here we go…when we arrived, the burger barn wasn’t open due to the holidays (from what one of the employees said). We were hungry so we just decided, and since we were already there, that we would try the BBQ. Big mistake! First of all, they were out of so many things on the menu, so there were limited options. No baked potatoes, no pickles and onions, only 2 sides available and no chicken sausage among other things I heard they were out of. When I FINALLY got my order, (after waiting almost 20 minutes, because my number was never called and someone else took my order) I was very disappointed! The loose cut brisket was VERY TOUGH AND DRY and the lean cut was tougher than shoe leather! The chicken had blood near the bone when I bit into it and the chicken skin was so tough. The green beans were very bland and needed to be seasoned and slow cooked. They just tasted like canned green beans with some onions thrown in. The potato salad was ok, but nothing special. I hate to even write this review, but when things aren’t addressed, they can’t be changed. There needs to be serious business protocol and customer service training because the staff needs to understand the importance of behavior, communication and optics and how all of those things affect the customer experience. Also, the food quality needs to be addressed! I’ve heard that the BBQ used to be great, so they clearly were doing something right at some point, but if they’re serving food like I received, sadly they won’t have repeat customers. I’m sorry, I work hard for my money, and I just made a donation because it was inedible. People eat with their eyes first, and when I opened the package, it didn’t even look appetizing. My prayer is that this message is received in love and the necessary changes are made ASAP. We want to support our own, but when the service and food are subpar, it’s really hard to do so. ♀️ ❤️

I’m a BBQ baked potato lover through and through, and Burns original bbq delivers on every aspect of a quality one. Smoky sweet and spicy, cooked to perfection – I ate everything last bite including the potato skin.
I would love if the potato was served without the foil on it so I don’t have to peel it off. Would also be great if sour cream was stuffed in rather than on the side. But regardless of that, delicious. My second time going, it’s hard to make the hour long drive but it’s well worth it when I get the chance.
