Amazing BBQ! Nice little gem that really puts their heart and soul into their food! The ribs had a nice bite to them with a good Smokey flavor! The poblano Mac was packed with flavor and spice but we couldn’t stop eating it!

The service was also top notch! Anthony made sure we were all taken care of and very hospitable. All around a fantastic experience.

Definitely a must try if you’re in the area.

I always like to google local BBQ spots when I am in the country. I happened to be nearby for work and found this place.

The food was AMAZING. The pork ribs were the best I have ever had. The brisket was fantastic. And unlike many Texas BBQ places, the sides were unique and delicious. This is TX BBQ done perfectly.

Price was reasonable for what you are getting. If I am in the area again, I definitely plan to come back and try the turkey, jalapeño sausage, and the cheesecake.

I hope this guy is able to open a permanent restaurant some day because he clearly has the formula down. My local BBQ spot started as a food truck as well, so I hope he is able to do the same.

This is some spot on Barbeque and would definitely recommend. We got brisket pulled pork and turkey, with each being moist and full of flavor! And their Pablano Mac and cheese and potato salad are so good, definitely coming back. Cheesecake looks amazing and will definitely have it for later

Really great BBQ! The brisket and beef rib was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality and portions. The owner is not only a great neighbor in my subdivision, but also a fireman, and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. Definitely worth checking out!

Burnhouse Barbecue is the best BBQ overall. My brother in law like BBQ and thinks other placers are really good but I just went the extra miles and bought him a pork ribs and he loved it. I have also gotten him the Dino ribs just to prove him wrong lol. He now says that Burnhouse Barbecue is the best, I’m glad to see how this business is developing and blooming. the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and they give a really good service.

If you haven’t tried it yet, it is time to do it and you won’t regret it.

I rarely leave 1★ reviews. I’m intentional in my ratings, and I usually find at least one positive thing to highlight — whether that’s portion sizes, customer service, or just giving a restaurant the benefit of the doubt for having an off night. Unfortunately, Burnhouse Barbecue’s food and their response to my DoorDash review left me no choice. What started as 2★ has now dropped to 1★, and if I could, I’d give 0★.

We ordered a One-Alarm Plate (chopped brisket, poblano mac & cheese, elote corn) and a Two-Alarm Plate (sliced brisket, jalapeño sausage, poblano mac & cheese, and deviled egg potato salad). Both came with a cheap slice of plain, untoasted sandwich bread that added nothing to the meal. The chopped brisket was inedible — just hunks of fat (see photos) despite my specific note requesting lean. My husband’s brisket and sausage left him sick that evening. The poblano mac was dry and clumped, with shells (awful noodle choice for mac and cheese) stuck together and raw, unseasoned peppers mixed in. The corn not only tasted like canned corn but looked like canned corn, and if it was not, then it was wildly overcooked. Even the lime piece for the corn was bad — it was an 1/8 of a lime that the wedge had been cut in half crosswise to 1/16. The one slightly edible item was the potato salad, which my husband said was “okay” but under-seasoned. Generous portions don’t matter if the food is so poorly prepared it can’t be eaten. I literally had to order a separate meal from a different restaurant, because my plate wasn’t edible.

The bigger issue though was the response to my review. They misspelled my name (even though it was right there) and claimed “We did give you only lean on the sandwich, so we are sorry to hear this was not to your liking,” as though I just have a personal problem. I didn’t order a sandwich — neither of us did. So either they confused me with another customer, or they just made something up to save face; neither is good. And while they pushed back on my note about corn, saying they could “assure” me that it wasn’t canned, they certainly didn’t just say if it was frozen or fresh eother. And they ignored the macaroni entirely — because there’s no way to deny dry, clumped pasta. Their reply read less like customer service and more like someone venting defensively.

The best response would have been simple: “We’re so sorry. This isn’t the quality or service we want to provide, and we regret that this was your experience. We care about serving good food and hope you’ll give us another chance to make it right.” Instead, their actual reply erased any benefit of the doubt and any chance of us ordering from there again.

Bottom line: one meal was inedible, one made my husband sick, and the customer service sealed the deal. I stand by my original 2★ for food, but their careless, defensive, and inaccurate response makes this a solid 1★.

For transparency, I’m attaching my original review and their emailed response, along with a photo of my plate, a photo of one of the many gobs of fat I received, and a video as well of the pile of chopped fat and pitiful meat.

Burnhouse Barbecue is hands down one of my top three BBQ spots in Texas. And that’s saying something.

The Poblano Mac & Cheese is an absolute must-try — creamy, flavorful, and just the right kick. You can’t go there and not order it.

The ribs are on point — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The brisket is done right too — perfect bark, great smoke, and melts in your mouth.

And don’t even skip dessert. The blueberry lemon cheesecake is to die for. It’s the perfect finish after some serious barbecue.

If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and stop in. Burnhouse is doing it right.
