Burney’s Sweets started in Elizabethtown, NC. The owners started a franchise with two retired teachers from Clinton, NC, who loved to bake, and that is how Burney’s Sweet & More of Clinton began. The couple’s son and daughter-in-law have expanded the brand by selling franchises around NC. We are known for our fabulous croissants but offer many sweet treats. Our location in Clinton is also a deli with excellent soups, salads, and sandwiches. If you are in NC, try to visit one of the locations!

Had a fantastic lunch at Burney’s Sweet Treats and More. The chicken salad sandwich and chili were delicious. Store looked so nice with all the Christmas decorations. Staff and owner were very friendly and attentive. I’m looking forward to coming back soon!

Eating at Burneys is always such a treat! It’s such a pretty restaurant with lots of seating and friendly service. The new Apple Harvest Salad was delicious with the apple cider dressing. Although I always love the glazed croissants, I chose the chocolate cheesecake which is amazing! Of course, I had to take home some of their chicken salad and pimento cheese, which are family favorites, to enjoy later. There is such a great variety of lunch items and of course so many delicious options from their bakery. My mom loves their hotdogs and my husband loves choosing from one of their signature sandwiches.

Recently relocated to the area. My daughter & I stopped by this petite bakery. Awesome selection. We opted for a few glazed croissants and a Chocolate cake. Melissa was simply great which is why I’m giving this place Five-Stars. Her colleague, unfortunately treated us as though we were invisible by allowing I’m assuming someone she personally knew to skip my daughter & I. The interesting thing is, you can tell the establishment can use any/all business/support. In fact, my family and I are strong believers in shopping local in an effort to patronize within the community. However, it’s because of actions as such as these that makes it difficult/impossible to do so. Melissa, hopefully you see this. Please continue to be great regardless of those around you. It would be wonderful if you could teach your peers common courtesy 101.

Burney’s is known for their croissants but they offer so much more. Cakes, pies, cookies, muffins… the list goes on. My personal favorite are their doughnuts. They aren’t as rich as Krispy Kreme and have a bit thicker texture.

Very delicious desserts. I haven’t tried their sandwiches and other meals yet. But if it’s anything like their sweets, I’m sure it’s going to be worth trying. The employees are just as sweet as their treats.
