Anyone who doesn’t give this place five stars is dreadfully misinformed! This is a five star establishment all day every day! Today I had the most amazing experience. Took my kids in after basketball practice and we wanted a sweet treat. I have never had a doughnut croissant in my life. I have to say this will be a terrible thing for my diet, but totally worth it.
My son had a cinnamon roll. My daughter had a fresh sprinkled doughnut, and I had several of the croissant doughnut things. My favorite was the one filled with cream cheese.
Everyone here was so nice. They gave us free samples of several items. This is what running a business is all about. Great experience great great managers.

It was our first time visiting this bakery and wow!! It definitely won’t be our last. This place is phenomenal! We got a lil variety box. The croissants are the best out of everything we tried. I would highly recommend getting those. The top 3 favorite croissants in our group were: apple cinnamon, maple bacon and their chocolate croissant. Can’t wait to come back to try more, maybe they can make a Nutella, cookie butter or Dubai chocolate croissants ? I love my sweets and this place fulfilled my cravings, hands down. I am writing to you from New Jersey to share what a wonderful experience I had at your bakery. I was recently visiting the beautiful city of Southport for my friend Missy’s birthday, and since we both have a sweet tooth, she suggested we stop by Burney’s.
Your bakery did not disappoint. I purchased six deliciously filled croissants, a scoop of banana pudding ice cream, and a scoop of strawberry cheesecake ice cream. I must admit I ate both ice creams and two of the croissants myself, but I did share the remaining croissants with the birthday girl.
Everything was absolutely delicious.

We saw this bakery yesterday on our way to eat. So we went out for cronuts this morning.
Ms. Jen was awesome. It was our first time so she gave us all a glazed cronut and it was delicious. I love that she asked me if I wanted inside or outside for my brownie. I’m an inside brownie person.

I kept my hopes in check before visiting… because I love croissants, donuts, cronuts, cruffins etc and didn’t want to be disappointed. I definitely was not! This is a cute bakery that had very friendly staff. The croissants are small and super affordable. I got 2 to try- buttercream and gingerbread. Both were so good, I stopped back after exploring the area to get 6 to bring home. The cream cheese one is like a pudding that tastes like the center of a cheese danish. They also sell other baked goods which I’d like to try… but it would be hard not to order the croissants!

Holy Moly this place is AMAZING! Doughnuts are soft, doughy and FRESH everyday. Their 15 layer yellow cake and chocolate icing will have you slapping your Mama! This place is a staple on all our visits to Southport!

First time coming here today and we were very impressed with Burney’s Bakery. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Whether you like croissants or not you definitely need to get a box of them. They are some of the best croissants my wife and I have ever had. Thank you Burney’s for the awesome baked goods! We will be back for sure next time!

Sweet tooth in regards to pastries and baked goods not satisfied? Look no further than Burney’s Bakery of Southport! Please bring your patience, this is a busy little shop and it will be worth the wait. A lot of folks talk about their glaze, stuffed croissants, but they have more sweets to help keep your dentist and doctor in business. Treat yourself or treat someone else, just stop by and get a sweet treat. Make sure you’ve got some milk or coffee when you sit down to enjoy these treats…I’m just saying…
