Great service.
The food was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. Every dish surprised us with its unique and flavorful taste. The service was warm and friendly, which made the experience even better.
I highly recommend this restaurant. If you’re on your way to Sacramento or San Francisco, make a stop in Folsom and check out Burma Light. It’s definitely worth the trip!
We decided to try the mango chicken dish and the Burmese style lamb curry with the coconut rice.
I have to admit that I’ve NEVER had anything like the mango chicken before. At first, I wasn’t sure what I thought of it. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and super unique. A few more bites, and I realized that it was actually incredible. I 10/10 recommend it. Paired with the coconut rice, and it was just… wow! The lamb curry was also fantastic. A complete 180 from the chicken which was lighter. The lamb was heartier but just as tasty. I cannot wait to come back to try more of their dishes!!!
– gluten and vegan FRIENDLY
– spice is totally manageable
– menu is flexible, get a veggie and add a protein
– never sleep on the tea leaf salad at Burmese
Get the tea leaf salad, garlic noodles, coconut rice and sesame chicken! All the food is absolutely delicious and you will have enough for leftoversp too!
Service was fantastic: friendly, quick and attentive without constantly hovering, and our server was very helpful answering questions. I can’t wait to try more dishes!
Edit: I was right, less than a week later I returned with a friend! He’s a personal trainer who is gluten and dairy intolerant, so he really wasn’t used to ordering from a menu that had so many options he could eat and enjoy. He loved his shrimp and eggplant dish, along with the Burmese rice. I loved my chili basil chicken almost as much as I loved the Minted Jalapeños Chicken I had last time! I’ll be going broke at this restaurant and it’ll be worth it
I decided to have a late dinner after reading a few stellar reviews.
Let me add to that reputation by saying this place was amazing!!!
Steven (owner)was very attentive from the start and recommended favorite dishes. I ordered fried chicken wings, samosa soup, fried rice and basil chili beef!
Everything hit and those wings were some of the best I’ve had in years. I’d definitely recommend trying them all ,but beware of your spice levels.
That soup had me , but the flavor was 100% worth the heat!
Don’t skip this spot!

3. Sesame Beef
4. Burmese Garlic Noodle with tofu
Every dish was amazing, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. They give you a decent amount of food with each dish, so we even had leftovers. Can’t wait for lunch tomorrow! It was really tough to pick what to order because every sounded so good. We will absolutely be coming back very soon!!
