Clean and well maintained from what I can see. Fish tank on the bar is cool. Slot machines were tight. The food was good. Burger was on the greasy side, not much for flavor. The bun was soaked in grease and sliding off the meat. The pork Mac n cheese with bacon was ok. Pork was very dry but had great flavor. This was a Sunday that I visited, so maybe it was smoked a few days prior . Either way I will be back. Great vibes from the bar tender. She held a good conversation and was happy to be there!

Great atmosphere! The waitress was very attentive. We went at a slow time. Ordered the 2 meat platter with the brisket and smoked chicken. The sides were amazing! The chicken was flavorful and the brisket was tender and tasty! The sauces were amazing and was surprised by the honey mustard. Loved it. The gator bites were perfect and we didn’t know they came with fries. Will definitely be back!

This is neither a smokehouse nor a tap. The brisket is not smoked, improperly sliced against the grain, tough, chewy, tastes like it’s been soaking in juice for days and tastes like old Italian beef. Absolutely horrible.
The baby back ribs are also not smoked and very tough. Dry is an understatement and flavor was lacking.
The beans are from a can. Period. The end.
The fish fry was edible but way below average for the area. You can’t mix and match. You get one choice unlike other options.
The pomtini is misleading. There is no pomegranate juice at all. Just pom vodka.
The beer menu is on chalk on the wall with no description.
The service was lacking as well. We were never asked how our meal was despite the fact that I only took one small bite of my so called brisket.
The building has a nice interior that is warm and welcoming but that’s where the positivity ends. It has a dive bar atmosphere which is fine since the place is clean. But if it’s a dive bar call it a bar not a tap and smokehouse.
The pricing is way too high. $100 for two drinks each and one meal for two people. Other options in the area are much better for a lower price.
I really wish they would get their food nailed down because we need a decent smokehouse in the area. Unfortunately they don’t seem to know what they’re doing.
I legitimately feel taken advantage of and I would have been better off burning a hundred dollar bill.

So…I will be changing this review when I actually get to eat there. We drove out from Waukesha based on Google Maps claim that was was open at 1:00 pm on a Saturday. It was not.

The Philly rolls appetizer was awesome! Fish fries were great! Lightly breaded, both baked and fried. Coleslaw, obviously homemade, oil and vinegar not creamy, fresh marble rye bread, and homemade potato pancakes. Waitress was friendly. Great spacing between tables. It’s nice to be in a spacious restaurant were even the servers have enough room to move about. Was surprised to find out they serve breakfast from 7 AM to 12 noon on weekends. We will be back.

Where do I start ? If you are from out of town you may be intrigued to try it after looking at the menu online. don’t be fooled by the price point and the description. The food is from the freezer and a can . I would not have tortured my old dying dog with the contents on my plate. I have never, never, never had food like this because I have never been to prison or on death row. Avoid at all costs. Beer was cold.

Came here with a large party (we asked them weeks before and they knew we were coming) and everything started off smooth. Despite our party of 20 people the server was still serving other tables so that quickly dropped off. She was flustered also having to juggle so much. I saw her and the manager bickering with each other at the pickup window all night.

Despite other reviews, as a backyard BBQ guy I had to try the BBQ platter. I asked the server if it was good and she assured me everything is “smoked in house”. The “brisket” was a JOKE. Zero seasoning, zero smoke, zero flavor, cut with the grain (BBQ 101 stuff). It wasn’t cooked “low and slow” to render out the fat. Between the unrendered fat and cut improperly it was literally inedible. The other reviewer was correct, the little flavor that was there was closer to Italian beef. I got the server and said it was very bad and kindly asked for pulled pork instead, she asked why, I described the above and she swapped me out. The pulled pork was arguably worse. Mushy, overcooked, shredded to bits, zero flavor/seasoning/smoke. Read it again – the BBQ sucks bad, is not smoked and an abomination to the expectations people have when you say it’s smoked in house

The sides (beans, coleslaw, potato salad) tried harder, were decent, but tasted like they were multiple days old. It was this point in the meal when my pregnant wife noticed that the water pitcher we were drinking out of had visible chunks of debris in the bottom of it. Disgusting.

Normally I’d give ’em another shot another time, but they really blew it across the board I have zero desire to go back. Peeping into the kitchen there appeared to only be two younger guys (for a busy Saturday night). When you’re just plating reheated stuff that was cooked days before perhaps that’s all you need but nothing added up.

Credit where credit is due – my old fashioned was great (the second one I ordered never arrived) and the Kielbasa was also excellent! Presumably because they don’t make it, they just heat it up on the grill.

We had a great Bloody Mary. The bartender took the time to allow me to sample several different mixes before making an awesome drink for my wife and I. Great music and drinks. We had a great experience!
