This tavern is located on the corner of Lafayette St in The Ironbound of Newark NJ. The spot is perfectly located within walking distance of Prudential Center and Penn Station. The service and food were amazing.

What a nice neighborhood tavern with great pizza! We were absolutely stunned by the place and the food! We had 2 pizzas (pepperoni and cheese and burrata pizza) for 2 adults and 1 kid, and we had plenty. The crust is delicious, the toppings authentic.

I met up with a friend of mine at this location. When I arrived I found parking nearby. I walked in and sat at the bar. The place is super cute. Diego was our bartender and he was nice. I ordered the LIT and it was pretty good. My friend got the garlic bread and shrimp and I tasted both. They were both very good. The shrimp especially was good. The bill was super affordable. I really had a good time and will return.

Very nice restaurant. Excellent quality pub-style food. We enjoyed the fried shrimp, buffalo wings, and sliders, and the pepperoni pizza. Their pizza is baked Napolitan-style with a stone oven our server said came from Italy. Everything was perfect and delicious. Come here and you will NOT be disappointed. They even have a very open and inviting dining room that will not disappoint. Located in the Ironbound section of Newark.

Absolutely amazing! I love the interior, everything looks repurposed instead of all these corporate cookie cutter places. Perfect for us because it’s within walking distance of the prudential center! We will be stopping back when the next show comes around. The food was delicious, we got Burke’s sliders and Bangkok shrimp. Our server was Viv, they were very nice, Answered all our questions and had a wonderful attitude and personality. I recommend stopping here if you need a place to eat when you come to the prudential!

We were so excited when Burke’s Tavern opened just a few blocks from our home. This cozy restaurant provides a unique offering in the neighborhood and has become the place we go most often. The food is consistently excellent, including a few seasonal dishes that rotate, and the cocktails are outstanding as well. We have eaten our way through the menu, and you can’t go wrong! I don’t often order pizza when I go out, but the pizzas are delicious and always tempting (especially the brussels sprouts pizza in the winter); however, my favorite dish is the pan-seared branzino.
