Talk about never judge a book by its cover. Burgers & Barley is a prime example. The atmosphere is friendly and open. They have a bar and offer outside seating. When we came there were plenty places to sit. The waitress, Angelina, was bright, friendly and helpful. We ordered wings and macaroni with blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes as appetizers..all were fresh and served hot. We tried the banana milkshake, i promise you they whipped a real banana in it – so good & tastey. He got the Mr. BIG STUFF burger with fries. The burger was HUGE, two patties,smoke pimento and plenty of bacon – YUMMY. I’m not sure if it was worth $18 (with fries) however it was good. The cost of everything is so high nowadays its probably on point with every other restaurant like it.

Burgers and Barley is a great go-to for families and bar-goers alike. The service was friendly and the food came out quicky. Our drinks stayed filled and we had everything we needed. The burgers are great, with build your own or unique combination options. I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles sliders so be sure to give those a try!

I had a NoDa Big Slurp, and created my own burger with fries. The burger was great, and since I was able to create it myself, it had everything on it that I wanted. There were a ton of options to choose from (See pictures). For example, I chose beef, brioche bun, blue cheese, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onions, pickles, bacon, mayo, Dijon mustard, and a horseradish-honey-jalapeno aioli. The burger was cooked exactly as I ordered it and the fries were crispy. The horseradish-honey-jalapeno came in its own dish on the side, so I used it for my fries.

First time here and felt very comfortable. Sat at the bar with my fiancé, Scout was our bartender- we were drinking and eating- she was on top of everything!! EXCELLENT service and the burgers are AMAZING!!! We had the chips and pimento cheese ( outstanding!) and we had the sliders and a build your own burger. Took the grilled chicken to go and I’m sure we won’t be disappointed. Cool local environment and I’m not local- but felt very comfortable and I highly recommend this place if you are local or passing though- will return THANK YOU SCOUT AND TEAM!!!

Food and service is always great here. I enjoy eating their Mac and cheese burgers and fried green tomatoes. It’s a great time for family and friends or if you’re by yourself, their drink selection is wide. They also have alcoholic and non-alcoholic milkshakes. Definitely give those a try
