The Oozy Suzy burger, being their rendition of a Juicy Lucy burger, was somewhat disappointing. The patty leaned noticeably on the saltier side, which overpowered the overall balance of flavours. More importantly, the cheese inside was not properly melted and had clumped together rather than delivering the rich, molten centre one anticipates from this style of burger. The pictures shall speak for itself.
As for the beef tenderloin steak, I had specifically requested it to be cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, it arrived cooked far beyond medium well, bordering on well done. This significantly altered the texture and tenderness of the meat. Once again, the seasoning was heavier than necessary, masking the natural flavour profile of the meat.
The menu presentation was also slightly misleading. I had ordered a honey lemon ginger drink from the “drinks” section, where it was listed alongside cold drinks, only to receive it as a hot tea. While I chose to keep it and it was actually quite pleasant. A clearer categorisation on the menu would help manage expectations.
The service of the cafe, despite being adequate staffed, felt disorganised. When I pointed out that the steak was not cooked to the requested doneness, I was informed that it was “medium,” suggesting a lack of clarity or knowledge regarding steak doneness. Furthermore, a second fresh lime soda was ordered approximately twenty minutes before we requested the bill but it never arrived. It was only brought up by the staff after we requested for the bill.
I had heard great things about this place, which perhaps heightened my expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not quite live up to the hype. That said, I remain open to giving it another chance while being particularly interested in trying their Pad Ka Pav being one of the the owner’s specialty and a recipe he reportedly brought back from his trip to Thailand.
The service was extremely slow, and the crowd didn’t add much to the atmosphere. Given the basic footpath seating, the prices felt unjustified. Overall, the food needs a serious upgrade, and nothing about the visit stood out in a positive way.
If you’re in the area, you’re much better off heading to Raj’s Spanish Café nearby—it’s a far more satisfying experience.
Impeccable taste without a doubt .
We ordered Cheesy Slim Beef Burger and Grilled Chicken Burger and to wash it down we went for Lemonade which did it’s job being really refreshing.
The behaviour of the staff and the owner was really cordial . While ordering we thought of adding jalapenos on our burgers but they politely suggested as not to because it would’ve made the burgers a bit sour and thank god we listened.
Right after ordering we got served with the Lemonade which was freshly made infront of us because the cafe has an open kitchen which adds to the excitement allowing you to watch the chefs in action.
We had to wait for 10 mins before our burgers arrived and both of those were unbelievable. The patties were so juicy it was literally dripping with juice, the french fries were crunchy and tasty and the sauce served with that complimented dish really well .
All over the walls people added their remark after visiting this place and most of the scribbles were about how they have the best burgers in town and I couldn’t agree more .
I really loved the dishes and the place .
I would give it a solid 10/10 burger experience.
