So we grabbed a table. It took about 5 minutes before a server came by and we ordered a coke and some water, which took about 5 minutes. The place was very clearly understaffed. The server took our order after delivering the drinks and then it was time to wait. To her credit, she did warn us that they were “a bit backed up”.
After 10 minutes of waiting, another family came and sat down in the booth behind us.
20 minutes later the manager Chris comes out with some delicious looking food… and gave it to the table behind us. The table that walked in 10 minutes after we put our order in got their food before ours. So now we are at 40 minutes since we walked in, really hungry, and didn’t get any refills – in fact, we never saw the server again. When Chris dropped off the other tables food, I called his name and let him know that we had been waiting and that we were upset that other tables were being served before us. He promised he would go check on our order.
3 minutes later I see Chris come out, grab a rag, bus a table, then go back to the back. He didn’t bother to communicate anything to us.
So we got up and walked out. No one stopped us or said anything of course, because the employee in the room was the bartender and he was busy.
Look, I get that sometimes a business can get busy, especially when short staffed. But if you can’t fix the staffing issue, you better start communicating with your customers – give them a realistic “This is going to take 30 minutes” heads up, and when someone asks you to check on their food… don’t ghost them.
Usually the salad comes out before the food but in this case, it all came out together but unsure if the tablespoon of ranch would have covered the salad, if it could have been eaten.
That being said, the waitress was extremely apologetic and did end up removing the salad from the ticket but in the same avenue, I would have thought this was due to being extremely busy and an over site BUT, only 3 couples were present during this time of the day we went.
Although the place wasn’t packed, it was definitely a lot for one person to manage on her own. I’d understand if it was a weekday, but at 645pm on a Saturday night you’d expect more staff.
The food was okay, not bad but not amazing. Also my husband requested no tomatoes or onions on his burger but was told he could only remove one item? So it came out with onions.
I attempted to share this information privately via email but the email on their website bounces back as not in service.
