First time coming here. Vegetarian burger was excellent. Chips were crispy and cooked just right. Crumbed pineapple-ring was awesome, definitely order that again!

Usually go to red snapper across the road when in Sumner but thought we would try this place. Decent fish and chip spot. Gurnard was a a good size and nice. Squid rings standard pre-made ones that were cooked well. Sausage was half the size of a standard fish and chips shop one but was good. Chips were frozen crinkles with about 10-15% overcooked. Got regular salt instead of the requested chicken salt which seems to be a common fail for the fish and chip shops we have ordered from recently.

Without doubt the worst fish and chips I have ever experienced in my 75 years. A first year university student making his first meal away from home would beat this pathetic attempt at fish and chips hands down.

Just ate here this afternoon after stumbling across the place, hoping for some nice fish and chips. Unfortunately, the experience was mixed. The service was lacklustre — the lady at the counter wasn’t very welcoming, although the guy working there was pleasant and polite.
The food overall was disappointing. The batter on the fish was undercooked (rubbery and doughy), and the chips were below average — possibly due to the oil not being cooked through properly. The saving grace, however, was the calamari rings, which were delicious.
I also forgot to mention that my tartare sauce was missing from the order. I’m sharing this review not to put down your business but to provide honest feedback in hopes it helps improve what you’re offering and that customers are aware of what they’re buying when they eat here.

Just had the most divine fish and chips experience! The fish was incredibly crispy on the outside yet perfectly fresh and flaky inside. Highly recommend for anyone craving a top-notch fish and chip or burger in Sumner.
