Updated September 10, 2025: I have eaten here now about a dozen times, sometimes the service is top notch, other times not so much. The staff I’ve interacted with have all been great.
Newly opened, service in the kitchen was slow, wait staff were good, attentive. Other friends confirm on their visits, kitchen staff are an issue that hopefully gets resolved. We highly anticipated this place because we love Gem Social but Burger Social is only a mile from our home. Prices are good, portion size is great, flavor is good although the flavor we chose for the fries was lacking, I think it was cowboy something. The bench seating could use some cushions.

Had one of the BEST smash burgers I’ve ever had at Burger Social! They have all kinds of different burgers, including turkey, and falafel. They also have about 15 different types of fries from shoestring, crinkle, hand cut, and curly fries with several seasonings and sauces to choose from. Full bar with great draft beer and nice cocktails to boot! Service with Adrianna was super friendly and prompt. We’ll be back! Highly recommend!

For my first visit, I went with a classic double All-American burger—10/10!! It was everything you’d want in a burger: juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. So good that we had to order another burger for later 😉 There are so many different flavors and fries combinations, can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

By far the best burger joint in Horry County! Went by the place a hundred times and decided to go! Who doesn’t love a great burger! The atmosphere is what you expect for burgers The staff was amazing and thanks to the couple sitting next to us about all the amazing items on the menu. It was so delicious and very affordable. So thankful to have this place near Barefoot. The quality of the smash burger with a sweet potato bun was delicious! Sweet potatoe fries were crispy on outside, soft on the inside.And the red velvet skillet was gooey and warm. Kate was a great server. We will be back!

Everything we had was really good! I had the OMG with hand cut fries with truffle aioli and my husband had the hangover. Both burgers were really good! We loved all the different seasons and “dips” you could get with your fries. Only negatives, which weren’t bad enough to bring the rating down, was either the tea tasted old, or it was just the flavor of the tea. Neither of us liked it at all. The other thing is, it is a little confusing when you first walk in. You come in to a half wall, and you don’t know if you go to the back to order or sit down, or what to do. They kind of yell from the back to have a seat, but if it’s noisy, it’s hard to hear what they are saying. An older group came in after us that couldn’t hear them and stood at the front for a while because they didn’t know what to do. It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve been there, so maybe this has since been resolved. Either way, we can’t wait to go back to try different things.

We asked ChatGPT where to find the best smashburger at Myrtle Beach, and Chatty did not let us down! We had the Original and OKC burgers (doubles), and they were big and delicious. Awsome place with a hugh selection of burgers, handheld and several versions of fries. Smash double burger was outstanding way to big but I ate it all. Wife love the sweet potato fries no room for desert. This place is not a franchise local owned. Highly recommend.
