Finally made my way to Burger NV — one of the few original tenants still standing in the ever-shifting landscape of Reno Public Market. As many locals know, RPM has seen quite the revolving door of vendors, likely a reflection of Reno’s increasingly difficult small business climate where rent hikes and rising food costs make longevity a serious accomplishment.

I ordered the Mushroom & Swiss Burger and upgraded to sweet potato fries. Let’s talk price first — just under $24 for a burger, fries, and water isn’t shocking for RPM, where vendors often have to adjust pricing simply to stay afloat. It’s a tough balance between supporting local businesses and navigating the reality of Reno’s expanding cost of living.

The burger itself was solid — not necessarily mind-blowing at that price point, but well-executed and flavorful. The real surprise came with the sweet potato fries. At first glance, I thought they were overcooked — almost burnt — but one bite revealed the perfect balance of crisp exterior and soft, almost creamy interior. An unexpected win.

Bonus points for the friendly staff, who were wonderfully accommodating of my allergy restrictions — something that always earns major respect in my book.

Overall: Burger NV delivers a satisfying meal, excellent service, and stands as a bit of a survivor in Reno Public Market’s turbulent vendor turnover. I genuinely hope they continue to thrive despite the financial challenges many small food businesses are facing in the area.

To start, I consider myself a burger guy. My friends would call me picky, and I am a bit of a Karen when it comes to my food. With that said, great job! Service upfront was prompt and helpful, answering my questions and accommodating my requests. I paid just under $25 for a BBQ bacon cheeseburger, regular fries, and a Coke. The burger is much like an American diner-style burger with a thick patty and fresh ingredients. The patty was cooked perfectly, still juicy and thoroughly cooked. The bacon was thick and tasty, and the rest of the toppings were on point. The fries are also good. When I saw the cook grab one to snack on, I knew that was a good sign. Fries are easy to get tired of in a kitchen when you work all day, unless they’re that good. After my first one, I immediately wanted a second. I hope everyone’s experience is like mine; that was a damn good lunch.

This place is aggressively mid. Waited 30 minutes for a dry burger & okay fries. Also don’t order the fish & chips unless you like those dry too because they don’t come with tartar sauce. Sorry I don’t mean to be a whiner but it’s hard not to when you’re charging premium prices for bowling alley snack bar fare.

12.1.23: Last night a friend and I went to the Reno Public Market for the 9th Annual Make ‘Em Smile Toy Drive Event to donate toys and watch our friends play live music. We hadn’t had dinner and decided on Burger NV.

We both ordered the Fish and Chips and we both loved it! It was served hot and the fry was a perfect cook, not soggy nor overly fried. The tartar sauce was different than anything I had before and it was more of a thinner sauce. It’s hard to describe the taste but I liked it and how it wasn’t thick and heavy. The fries were fresh and delicious too. The coleslaw actually wasn’t too bad and had some decent flavor to it. The service was good and the person taking our order was friendly.

Food was ok except they don’t have tartar sauce for the fish n chips? Thats crazy to me! They also got our order wrong so we had to wait 15 mins while the first meal got cold. Was trying to have a nice night going out, and just decided to go home after this because I was so frustrated. Wasting $40 for a meal I had to fix at home. ‍

Update; They told me they don’t do tartar sauce anymore, but I checked the menu and its supposed to be there. If they had told me they were out I would have just happily ordered something else. They game me ranch and im sorry but it was a gross combination.

BAM! Let me tell ya somethin’, folks—Burger NV ain’t playin’ around when it comes to delivering a knockout burger experience!

I rolled in, ordered their Jalapeño Cheeseburger with fries, and yeah, I know what you’re thinking: “Oh, just another burger?” OH, PLEASE! This thing was absolute fire—juicy, spicy, cheesy perfection in every bite. ️

Now, let’s talk comparisons. We all know #RenoEats has its fair share of burger joints, but here’s the deal—Burger NV goes toe-to-toe with the heavy hitters. You ever been to the Gastropub and dropped nearly $30 for a burger—without fries? Yeah, me too. But let me tell ya, #BurgerNV serves up that same top-tier quality for way less, and with fries to boot! ✅

And the people? Unreal. Amy took my order—she’s got that true #RenoLocal energy, friendly, fast, and knows her stuff. Then there’s Ricky, the maestro behind the grill. With 25+ years of experience, this man is a burger alchemist. ‍ He broke it down for me: the secret’s in the quality of the meat , and let me tell ya, you can taste the difference. This ain’t just a burger—it’s an experience.

So here’s the bottom line: #BurgerNV delivers. Big flavors, great people, and a price that doesn’t make your wallet cry. #RenoFoodies, take note—this is where you get a REAL burger.

I’m not a burger person. Sometimes I’ll have one, but rarely. Anyway, they have the best blt ever! Bread isn’t over toasted. Bacon is thick and perfect. Lettuce and tomato are crisp and fresh. So so good! Usually I order fries with a side of ranch but today I was craving salad so I ordered a side salad. It’s burger style meaning there’s PICKLES in it and oh my god! I did not know I needed pickles in my salad but I do. It changed my life. I adore the staff as well. Everyone is always so nice. I work nearby so not a lot of food options. Now that I know they have healthy options I’m going to eat here all the time.

This is for the Sparks location! If you want seating and a calmer atmosphere come to this one! ❤️

We come every week and buy something but tonight we just bought sweet potato frys and they were burnt / over cooked. Sad they even served them. Usually it’s always spot on. I tossed then. Maybe next time

My family couldn’t decide what to have for dinner, so we went to Reno Public Market, where one of us had a burger. Everything was perfect, and the garlic fries were especially tasty.

Craving a burger so found this online. Did not realize that there was a food court here. There were lots and lots of options, it’s a warehouse style atmosphere, we had one issue with a burger, staff. Was very apologetic and fixed it right away. Burgers were fresh and perfectly cooked, plenty of food. The garlic fries were amazing. We had more than enough left over to take home for a snack later
