We stopped by The Burger Lounge in Paseo Del Sur for takeout last night. The Burger Lounge is a fast casual American restaurant specializing in grass fed, grass-finished beef. The cashier greeted us warmly and we took advantage of a 25% off special, which made the burgers more affordable.
The California lounge burger was topped with smoked bacon, fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato, and pickles with a slice of cheddar and sauce. The burger was a great portion size and the variety of flavors and textures went well together.
The Truffle mushroom Swiss burger was topped with a truffle aioli, a layer of fresh arugula, and crispy onions. The rich truffle mushroom flavor was prominent with the creamy Swiss cheese. The flavor was a bit one dimensional for my taste, so I’d try another burger or fresh salad next time.
The half and half onion rings and fries came in a huge stack! The onion rings were crisp and the fries were a nice bite.
The interior of the restaurant was clean, bright, and family friendly with plenty of seating for kids and groups. Overall, The Burger Lounge is a nice, fast casual spot and a solid choice for a tasty meal.

Burger Lounge is excellent! The burgers were very tasty, fresh, and served hot, just the way they should be. The service was great—friendly and efficient, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for a quality burger!

I usually get just the classic Lounge Burger and always grab an order of those onion rings–they are crunchy and thick, not those sad, stringy ones.

I love Burger Lounge, as does my family! I’m gluten free and dairy free and love that I can order a burger here! It’s so delicious! The atmospher is nice and the staff is always wonderful. The salads, fries and shakes are also wonderful. I highly recommend Burger Lounge!

The service was good. The restaurant was clean. However, it was freezing with the doors closed on a cold night. The food was mediocre and few other minor things. Will I return to this location?? Not anytime soon. The Carlsbad location is much better in my opinion.

First time trying a burger here. Meat was a little pink on the inside and edges of patty were pretty over done, but edible. The presentation in the box was pretty sloppy, meat sliding out, shredded lettuce everywhere tomato and onion sliding out. For those of you who remember “Bob’s Big Boy” restaurants, this burger tasted like the Big Boy Burger, flavor, lettuce, condiments, I would think I was sitting at one of those restaurants if it were 40 years prior. Even the onion rings & fries reminded me of Bob’s. The burger wasn’t bad, but.. way over priced for a burger, grass fed or not I don’t care. Would I return again? Probably not.

We stopped by for lunch with my Mom who was wearing a sash for her 94th birthday! The staff all wished her a happy birthday and presented her with a shake! Food was great, but the service was awesome!

These have to be one of the best burgers I have had in a long time! Grass feed beef cooked to perfection! The fries and onionrings were very tasty. Good portions on all items. The help here was absolutely top notch!
