BEWARE – they try to sneak in an extra dollar upcharge on your order. I just tried to order a breakfast combo listed at $7.19 on the menu – but the pre-tax subtotal given to me was $8.19, with no upsizing involved (nuts, I should have snapped a pic of the drive-thru order screen). The cashier said he couldn’t change the asking price at his end.
I opted to cancel my order today, so I can’t vouch for food quality this time. But in the past, I’ve been happy with it. Decent food, but Crooked upcharging = 2 stars

Always love burger king stop in this one every time I come thru they need some help tho both times I went inside only 2 or 3 people struggling to do everything, explains why drive thru takes forever. get them folks some help in there bk, food was still great jus took a while, can blame the 2 people for the wait they were doin the best they can. Horrific!! Almost threw up. Got the usual whopper. It was completely soggy, like the whole burger had been dipped in cold oil by whoever was working the kitchen. Onion rings are soggy. Nasty, had to toss them. The desert also has stale mini Cinnabuns. Overall, another branch is bound to go out of business like the KFC beside it. University Avenue has been most consistent in terms of quality so far. But this was an utter failure. This is what happens: the corporation becomes greedy for profit and fails to reward staff when things are good.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this location on July 17, 2025, and feel it’s important to share.
I placed a counter pick-up order through the Burger King app and arrived at the restaurant around 9:55 PM, before their listed 10:00 PM door-locking time. However, I found the doors already locked, even though there were customers still dining inside — including a group celebrating a birthday.
I went to the drive-through window to pick up the order, and the male staff member who greeted us was shockingly rude. Instead of listening to our concern, he immediately and repeatedly insisted we must have ordered drive-through, despite my attempt to show him the mobile order, which clearly said counter pick-up. He refused to look at the order, dismissed everything we said, and kept saying, “I can lock the door whenever I want.” When I calmly tried to explain the issue, he cut me off with “You have a problem?” — as if we were the ones causing trouble.
There was no effort to verify the order, no willingness to listen, and certainly no basic level of respect for a paying customer. At one point, he even said we could just “give the food back” if we didn’t like it — after we had already paid for it. This behavior was not only unhelpful, but completely inappropriate and disrespectful.
I’ve been a Burger King customer for years, but this was by far the worst customer service experience I’ve had. I sincerely hope Burger King management addresses this incident, retrains staff, and reinforces basic standards of professionalism and courtesy. No customer should be treated this way.

My food journey started in Champaign with a quick tour to the Burger King while on our drive from Chicago to Champaign after a long tiresome journey from Pune. The journey had taken a toll already and by noon, we the hungry souls jumped into the first sight of this chain.
Burger King is the home of the whopper and so is their tagline.
The place is quite spread out with sofa seating by the windows and also the round table chair combinations. The place was not at all crowded, with about 2-3 guests there at the same time – enjoying their burgers with the match playing on the television.
I don’t need to mention explicitly – a self service chain – order in your food from the counter, pay upfront and within a couple of minutes, you have your order ready.
I ordered in for the TENDER CRISP CHICKEN SANDWICH meal – combination of the burger, coco cola and french fries.
As the name suggests it had tender,crispy and juicy slice of chicken engulfed in brioche bun with ripe and fresh slices of tomatoes, lettuce pieces and loads of creamy mayonnaise. Perfect accompaniment would be the ultra crispy french fries and a glass of coke – perfect! A hearty meal in itself.

Went thru the drive thru at 6:18pm on Aug 21, ’25. The young man who took my order was as pleasant as could be even when my order was confusing. The young lady who brought out my order was also pleasant. Pats on the back to them!
